A few weeks ago Escentual tweeted a few weeks back about wanting some bloggers to test out a skincare product for acne/problematic skin i quickly sent them a tweet that i was interested and then filled out a form! I was so excited when i found out i would be testing out the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo(+)* as i have heard such great things about it! I have been testing this out for just over ten days so i thought i would share some pictures and how this product works for me and how i apply it.
When i first started using this, i thought it was going to be one of those products that you have to use for at least a month to see a difference in your skin but i was so wrong! I saw results the next morning!! I couldn't believe it! I only apply this to my problem areas, for me that is my chin, but you can apply this all over your face if you need to. I use this morning and night which i would recommend for best results, the product itself isn't sticky and sinks in quickly so you don't have the awkward moment while you have to sit and wait for it to sink in before you can apply your make up! Once i have applied this i use my normal moisturiser most of the time, although when i haven't used it i haven't noticed that my skin is dry so sometimes i just leave it!The product also dries to a matte finish so if your not going to wear foundation one day but you have applied this you wouldn't be able to tell you had this on.
As you can see from the pictures above, my skin was bad before i started using this. I get alot of lump type spots which leave behind red and brownish marks which i have had for years but since i have been using this, they have really improved! Im really impressed with the results and its only been ten days of twice a day application, a lot of the marks were years old because i had really bad skin when i was about 15/16 (im now 20) and they have almost all gone!
The product itself it of a gel like consistency and doesn't have a smell (if i does i didn't notice it) so if you are sensitive to fragrances this would be perfect for you.
I would recommend this to anyone if you are looking for a product to get rid of marks left behind after the spot leaves, i can't fault this product!
