Review: Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum | Hannah Heartss

Recently, I have been having a few problems with my skin. It has been so sensitive to everything that I normally use (make up and skincare etc) which has led my skin to have a reaction to something, still have no clue what, which made my skin flake off around my eyes and my whole face was so sore and dry... until I used this product. This is the Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum* and I can honestly say this is a wonder product.

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum
The packaging is lovely. The glass bottle makes me feel so sophisticated when I use it! The bottle also has a pump so it makes it easy to get the right amount of product for each application which also means it prevents you from wasting any product. From trail and error I would say one pump will do your whole face but as I was having problems with my eyes I then took an extra half pump and split it between my eyes at night for extra hydration.

The product itself is quite light weight but is packed with goodness. As soon as I got this in the post, I applied it start away and was so shocked at how quickly it went to work. My under eye area and eye lids were extremely red and flakey, this product instantly soothed my eyes and reduced the redness it by at least 90% and the flakes appeared to be invisible. This serum kept my skin hydrated all day so the flakes didn't reappear through out the first two days until they were completely gone.

I applied this serum morning and night before my normal moisturiser (The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream) and within three days my skin was back to normal, amazing! I had been trying to get rid of the redness and flakey skin for two weeks before I got my hands on this and nothing seemed to help it at all and this one product done the whole job within three days! The serum sinks in within a few seconds so if your not going to apply moisturiser after you can apply your make up almost straight away.

I cannot recommend this product enough especially if you have dry skin, if you want to try this out you can purchase it on escentual for £12.75 until the end of March, it will then go back up to its normally price of £17. I will defiantly be repurchasing this when I run out.
