Review: Makeup Revolution Lipsticks

When I started browsing the Makeup Revolution website, the lipsticks really got my attention. At £1 each I knew I had to pop a few in my basket but I didn't know what shades, so I got on the blogs and started looking up swatches and reviews and decided on two, Rebel with Cause and Crime. I always head over to Catherine's blog as I know she loves Makeup Revolution and I trust her opinions so I saw she had Rebel with Cause and made sure to pick that one up because it looked great!

The packaging is similar to MUA but instead of having the preview of the shade on the bottom, they are on the top which has confused me any of mornings. I actually prefer having the preview on the top because it makes it so much easier to find the shade you are looking for. The packing is a shiny black and the cap goes on really easy and clicks when closed.

The lipsticks do have a very slight scent but I can't put my finger on what they actually smell like, but I like it. Both shades have great pigmentation but Rebel with Cause is slightly sheer but can defiantly build up the colour. I've heard Rebel with Cause is a dupe for MAC Rebel but I don't have that one in my collection so I can't really compare. Rebel with Cause is from the Vamps Collection and by the name of the collection, you can tell that these are vampy shades. This one is defiantly my favourite from all of the swatches I have seen. Rebel with Cause is a deep berry, perfect for night time.

Crime is from the permanent line of 'Amazing Lipsticks' and is a purpley pink which I am currently loving. This one is defiantly a Spring/Summer shade as it is quite a bright one but that's why I love it. I am extremely pale and this actually goes so well with my pale skin and just gives me a pop of colour as I normally go quite neutral with my eyes and cheeks.

The lasting power of these lipsticks is pretty good but defiantly needed a touch up after meals but for £1 you can't really complain. I defiantly recommend these if you are planning on making a Makeup Revolution order! I have my eyes on a few more shades so no doubt there will be another haul soon.

Have you tried these lipsticks before? What did you think?
