REVIEW: Eyes of Horus Goddess Eye Pencil

I have heard such good things about the Eyes of Horus Eye Pencils that when a email popped in my inbox, I knew I had to see what all the fuss is about. I use eyeliners everyday, whether it be white in my waterline or a winged liner, it is a daily essential! The Eyes of Horus Eye Pencil in Teal Malachite* has sparked my love for these eye pencils and it certainly won't be my last. This eye pencil claims to be very long wearing and waterproof, and it always safe for the waterline. This eye liner is truly stunning. I would describe the colour as dark aquamarine/navy which has a lovely sheen to it, the pictures really don't do this eye pencil justice I'm telling you!

The packaging is simple yet perfect. I love that the cap of the eye liner shows the shade, this makes it so much easier to find the colour you are looking for, if you own multiple shades of these eye pencils. On the other end of the pencil is a smudger which is great for creating a teal smoking eye with this pencil alone. I wish a sharpener came with pencil for the £17 I would have expected one. I have sharperned this a couple of times and it does fit a standard size one which is good and sharpens like any normal pencil would.

This eye pencil is 100% worth the £17 price tag in my opinion. It is the creamiest, most pigmented eye pencil I have ever used. Application of this eye liner is a dream, applies smoothly with no snagging at my eye and there was no need to reapply after the first application as the colour pay off was to the fullest. When I say this is a long wearing, waterproof mascara I mean it! When I first got this I swatched it on my hand in the morning, the next morning it was still there and having used it on my eyes I have found it lasts all day - some days I have my make up on for 18 hours and it is still going strong. When I swatched it on my hand I ran it under a tap and rubbed the liner and it didn't even budge! This eye liner is perfect for adding a slight pop of colour to your eyes without going over the stop. I found using this really made my brown eyes pop which I loved.

The only problem I had with this eye pencil is actually a good thing. As it is so long wearing and waterproof, it can be a little difficult to remove unless you use the right product. The Eyeko Mascara Off Wipes were the only thing to remove this completely without having to rub and rub at it.

I would defintily recommend these eye liners and I know I will be picking up another shade or two soon because the quality really is fabulous! These eyeliners retail for £17 and you can find out more information and see other shades here
