Real Techniques Nic's Picks

Real Techniques brushes have been my favourite ever since I got my hands on them. I knew when I saw these were coming out that I needed them in my life and I saw so happy when I unwrapped them at Christmas. This is the Nic's Picks Set which includes five beautiful silver brushes, three of which are set exclusives. This set is limited edition so if you do want to get your hands on it, I would act fast!

I can honestly say I use all of these brushes, as you can see as they are a little bit dirty! The five brushes includes in the set are, the duo fibre face brush, cheek brush, angled shadow brush, base shadow brush and the eyeliner brush. The cheek brush, angled shadow brush and eyeliner brush are the three set exclusives. All of the brushes have the most gorgeous silver handles with the same black rubber end to them, like all of the other standard line brushes from Real Techniques. All of these brushes are very soft and feel great when applying the product to the skin.

The face brushes are two of my top favourites from the set. The cheek brush is perfect for applying blush, I find it so much better for applying blush than the blush brush from Real Techniques, I much prefer that brush for bronzer. The duo fibre brush is great for applying a light powder to set foundation or concealer. I really like this brush for applying powder under my eyes as it doesn't make it look cakey or too heavy.

The eye brushes are great, the eyeliner brush is my most used brush out of the three eye brushes. I love to use this brush for adding a small amount of shadow to my lower lash line as it gives me so much more control over where I place the shadow. It is also great for brows as it is smaller than the brow brush from Real Techniques if you have smaller brows like me it makes it so much easier to get perfect looking brows. The angled shadow brush is one that is slowly getting used more at first I didn't think I was going to get much use out of this one but it applies shadow to the outer corner so well. The final brush in the set is the base shadow brush, I actually love to use this for my crease and I have used it everyday since. It applied shadow so easily and is great for blending too.

I cannot recommend this set enough and if you have never tried Real Techniques this is a perfect way to start. This set retails for £30 at Boots, Superdrug and Amazon. It is some times cheaper on Amazon and Superdrug so do keep an eye out and you might be able to get a bargain.

Have you tried this set? What did you think?
