REVIEW: MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder

MUA is a brand I haven't really given much love to this year, in past years I have used so many of the brand products but I have been trying so many new brands this year I forgot all about MUA. For Christmas I received this MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder and I started using it that day and I have loved it ever since.

The baked powder is made up of four shades a golden yellow, light green, light orange and a lilac which when applied all together to the face it turns into a translucent powder which is perfect for setting concealer or foundation. All of the shades work together to even out skin tone, help counteract redness and illuminate skin. I was a little but unsure about this and wasn't sure whether it would live up to those claims but it really has!

I have used this everyday since Christmas and my make up has never looked as good as it does when I apply this powder over my foundation. I either use the Real Techniques Powder Brush or the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Brush and apply it all over my face. I have a lot of discolouration around my nose and chin and find even the best concealers can't cover it but this powder really does help with the redness! My face always looks a lot more flawless looking when I use this and smooth which I can't get with any other products. What I really love about this powder is no matter how much I apply, it doesn't look chalky or cakey. I also love to use this powder for touch ups throughout the day as it just makes my make up look as if I had just applied it. Because it is translucent it works on any skin tone and is great for us pale girls which find some powders to be too dark even if they are translucent. It doesn't have a completely matte finish which is where the illuminating part comes in, it does make my skin look more healthy and less dull looking.

I cannot recommend this powder enough, it retails for £4 but is currently on sale for £2.60 so grab yourself a bargain! I know I will be repurchasing this and definitely want to try some more products from this range.

Have you tried this powder? What did you think?
