REVIEW: Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

Tarte is a brand that for the time I have wanted to get my hands on and I finally have. Tarte is beginning to be available in the UK, at QVC, but is still more expensive that it is in the States so when my cousin went to America I asked him to pick me up a couple of bits. The Lights Camera Lashes Mascara was in the Tarte set that I got, I featured it in this haul. I had heard such amazing things about this mascara and I really can understand why everyone loves it.

I love the packaging so much because it is different than any other mascara I have come across. The tube has a soft rubber feel to it and the edges stick out slightly which is good if you leave it on the table, it means it won't roll off. The outer edges of the packaging are also great because it makes it so much easier to close the tube once you have used it and you know when it is shut all of the way because it clicks into place and the edges match up which will help stop it from drying out. The packaging has a snake skin effect to it and the name and brand of the product is gold so it is easy to see.

Just by looking at the wand I knew I was going to get on well with this mascara. The wand looks like a standard one but it is so much better than any other mascara I have tried. Because there is so many bristles it makes coating the lashes so much easier. As you can see from the before and after pictures, there is a massive improvement in my lashes. They are so much longer and thicker! From the first coat I noticed a difference, with some mascaras it takes a couple of coats but that wasn't the case with this one. I found that it really helped hold the curl in my lashes until I removed my make up which I have never found with any other mascara. You can also build up this mascara a lot and it does clump up either so you can really achieve those dramatic lashes with this one. Normally it takes me a couple of weeks to see if I like a mascara and find a way to get it to work well but with this one I loved it from first application and I know I will be repurchasing the full size. I didn't have any issues with it melting onto my eye lids or under my eyes and it didn't flake off either. When it came to removing at the end of the day it was so easy, I used my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and it came off so easily without having to rub and tug at my eyes.

I love this mascara so much and I think it might have become my new favourite and I definitely need to get the full size. The full size retails for £19.50 but is currently on introductory offer for £17.76

Have you tried this mascara? Did you love it as much as I do?
