YSL Volutpé Tint-In-Oil

YSL is a brand that I have always wanted to try, pretty much because of the beautiful packaging, but I never knew what I wanted to try first. For my birthday my lovely friend Chloe got me the YSL Volutpé Tint-In-Oil in I Rose You. I have been reading lots about lip oils recently and I wasn't too sure what to think about them as I thought they were just going to leave my lips feeling greasy and oily but I couldn't have been more wrong.

The packaging in true YSL style is simply stunning. The main of the outer packaging tube is silver, mirror like with a pink accent around the logo, on each of the lip oils this colour is different depending on the selected shade. This is the shade I Rose You which is a slightly darker shade of pink, it is kind of like my lips but better, which is perfect for everyday and goes with almost any eye look. The applicator on this lip oil is very unique. It is described as being 'lip shaped' and it fits perfectly into my lips and makes it so easy to apply.

The product itself isn't oily, it is very nourishing on the lips and leaves them always feeling very hydrated. The nourishing part of this lip oil comes from it having five different precious oils in it, apricot kernel oil, macadamia seed oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil and passion flower oil.  Don't be scared by it being called a lip oil, even though it is an oil is doesn't leave your lips feeling oily, just soft and as if it is a very light weight lip gloss. Once the oil sinks into the lips, it leaves behind the most beautiful pink stain to the lips which lasts for a good few hours before I reapplied. The scent of this lip oil is incredibly delicious, to me it smells watermelon like but I am rubbish at describing scents so I could be completely wrong!

I have found myself using this everyday and reapplying it throughout the day and I know I am going to end up with a few more shades! If you are wanting a lip product that is very nourishing on the lips and leaves behind a little wash of colour, this lip oil is for you! I have heard the darker shades from this line are much more pigmented than the lighter ones.

These YSL Volutpé Tint-In-Oil retails for £23.50.
