This year has been all about fake tan of me. I have found some amazing tans already and some terrible ones. I have finally found a combination of products which give me the perfect summer glow all year round. All of these products are my favourites when it comes to tanning and I would highly recommend them, specially if you are new to tanning like I was.
Before I actually apply my tan, I have to exfoliate and moisture regularly. My tan applies a lot better if I exfoliate the day before application and I try to exfoliate at least twice a week to make sure I always get an even application and for that I use the Dirty Works Buff your Stuff Body Scrub. This body scrub smells so good and does such a good job and I can't believe its only £3 for a bottle! I try and moisturise everyday but I am quite forgetful. In the mornings I try and remember to use the Roger and Gallet Rose Body Lotion. It is so light weight and smells incredible, I have tried a few different scents in these body lotions and they all smell great! If my skin is feeling extra dry, or in the evenings, I use the Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream. This is so hydrating for the skin, it does wonders whenever my skin is extremely dry. It smells incredible and sinks into the skin so quickly and doesn't leave any residue for stickiness behind.
After I have exfoliated and moisturised regularly, its time to get my tan on! The two tans I would highly recommend are by St Moriz. I am such a massive fan of this brand and I really cannot fault them, they make such good tans! If I am in a bit of a hurry I go for the Instant Self Tanning Mousse in Medium. This gives me such a lovely colour instantly and doesn't stink of biscuits either! If I have more time to tan I go for the Fast Self Tanning Mousse with shade control. This stuff gives me such a gorgeous deep glow, when left on for three hours then rinsed, without looking like I used fake tan! Both of these tans do not leave your skin feeling sticky and they don't transfer onto any bed sheets or clothing too! I get around 4 days wear before I need to top it up. To apply both tans I use a tanning mitt, currently the Velvotan one which is a bargain at £1.50. I have never had any issues with streaking to patchiness whenever I use a mitt!
