Makeup Revolution Ultra Base Corrector Palette

It is no secret that I am on the hunt for the perfect combination of products to give me flawless skin. I have quite a lot of discolouration on my face as well as dark circles and many monster break outs which I want to conceal and hide. Although I use high coverage foundations and concealers I always wanted something just like this palette to colour correct my face.

This palette has eight correctors and illuminators to help you on your way to flawless skin. I honestly had no idea what some of the shades are for as there isn't any guide included with the palette. But after going to googling I have worked out what the shades are for. All of the shades in this palette are creams and are very pigmented, as you can see from he swatches above they are all pretty opaque. All of these shades are designed to be applied over foundation but I have used them underneath my foundation and I have still got good results.

What is each colour for?

Pink - Brightening
Peach - To balance out discolouration
Lavender - Counteracts yellow tones
White/Silver - Natural highlight and brightening
Green - Counteract redness
Cream/Yellow - Covers dark areas and purple
Orange - Counteracts blue tones
Darker Concealer/Brown - balances ashy tones in medium to dark skin tones

As I mentioned, all of the eight shades are very creamy which makes them very easy to apply to the skin. I like to use my finger to apply the selected shades and then go in with a brush to blend them out. My favourite shades from this palette is the green, peach and the white/silver shade. I apply the green shade to almost everywhere on my face, because I have so much redness before, before I apply my concealer and it makes such a massive difference. I use the peach under my eyes, again before I apply concealer, mixed with a little of the white/silver shade to brighten up under my eyes because it is very dark there.

I have used almost all of the shades from this palette and they all apply very easily and blend out well . They last for a good amount of time on the skin and really have made a massive difference to my foundation routine. I always had to use so much concealer to try and hide all of my discolourations and imperfections but with these palette it makes it so easy!
