Zoeva Mixed Metals Palette + Swatches

During August I started getting back into wearing eyeshadow on a daily basis and normally I am a neutral girl but this palette is the perfect way to wear colour without it looking too crazy for everyday or without it being too intense. I haven't tried too many products from Zoeva but this was a perfect introduction and I know this will be the first one many of their eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection. This is the Mixed Metals Palette

Swatched from Left to Right: Alloy, Warm Silver, Neo Brass, Platinum, Bronze, Ore Stone, Rusty Steel, Aluminium, Copper Plate, Onyx.

I am in love with the packaging and the design of it. The palette it made out of cardboard but it is strong enough if you want to keep it in your makeup bag without it getting too damaged. The front of the palette has a gorgeous design with different shades of green and brown with reflective silver and gold, this design also continues inside the palette too. The palette is very slim for housing ten individual eye shadows all at a very decent size at 1.5 grams per eyeshadow.

All of the eyeshadows in this palette are paraben, mineral oil and phthalates free while having no fragrances. They are also formulated to have superior pigmentation and are easy to blend. I have to definitely agree with how easy these are to blend, it is incredibly easy and I think these shadows would be perfect for a beginner. All of the eyeshadows are super pigmented but can easily be sheered out for a lighter wash of colour. Once I apply these shadows in the morning they do not budge, even when it comes to removing my eye makeup late at night it doesn't look any different from when I applied it! I have tried the shadows with and without primer and didn't really notice a different because they are very long lasting. They do not crease on the lids either.

When I first opened this palette I wasn't sure how much use I could get out if it because I am very much a neutral girl but I have really fallen in love with this palette and I think it is perfect if you are scared of colour because all of the shades are extremely wearable. This palette is perfect for using in conjunction with neutral shades to switch up your look but can still be used to create a gorgeous neutral look.

My favourite combinations that I have been wearing quite a lot recently are Rusty Steel on the lid with Alloy in the crease and on the lower lash line. Also I have been loving wearing green eyeshadow and at first I was a little scared to get outside of my comfort zone but I really love the look I created. I used Neo Brass all of the lid and Bronze in the crease with that shade also smoked out on the lower lash line and then with Warm Silver in the inner corner to brighten and used as a highlight. Copper Plate is one of my favourite shades from this palette and I have been using it with my Colourpop eyeshadows and I have been loving the look I have been creating with it, I will do a post all about it soon hopefully.

The Zoeva Mixed Metals Palette retails for £15 (£15.50 from Beauty Bay) and is available from the Zoeva website and Beauty Bay.
