Finding products that keep my hair hydrated can be a bit of a struggle. I put my hair through some serious damage from changing the colour regularly to washing it everyday and using far too much heat. I have never heard of a product that you use before dying your hair to help strengthen the hair and prevent any breakage so I was very excited to try out the Scott Cornwall Precolour Protein Spray.
The Scott Cornwall Precolour Protein Spray is a leave in conditioning treatment which aims to help strengthen and protect weak, dry and damaged hair. It is formulated so that it can be used as a regular hair treatment for distressed hair and is recommended to be used before applying any colour or chemical treatments to prepare the hair. It also aims to create a more even and long lasting colour result while deeply conditioning the hair leaving it looking smooth and full of shine.
To use the product you shake the bottle before use and mist the spray evenly throughout the dry and porous hair. If you decide to use this before colouring your hair, never dry the protein spray after applying to your hair, just comb your hair though and make sure your hair feels slightly damp.
My hair is incredibly dry and the ends are quite damaged so this is definitely a product that I put to the test. I have been using it a couple times a week after washing my hair before styling and I love the results. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth, it also leaves my ends looking so much thicker and fuller which I love! When used before colour treating my hair, it really helped my hair stay soft and smooth - my hair tends to get very dry after changing the colour. I must admit my hair does look quite dull a lot of the time, especially in the ends and this mist added to much shine back into my hair. This mist smells incredible and the scent actually lingers in my hair for most of the day, if I forget to wear perfume its brilliant. If you bleach your hair regularly I think this product would be brilliant to keep your hair hydrated, smooth and shiny!
