Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil

With the cold weather coming, it is time that I start taking better care of my skin and making sure that it well hydrated. I have never used a facial oil as part of my night time skincare routine because they have scared me little bit, I always assumed that they would leave my skin feeling oily and greasy but that isn't at all the case with this one.
This is the Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil which is for sensitive skin. It's a mild soothing oil especially for sensitive or unbalanced skin. It is perfect to use on extremely dry skin and can be used daily, both morning and evening if needed or as extra protection when skin is exposed to cold weather and wind. It can also be used as an eye makeup remover with just a few drops popped onto a cotton pad. It is also suitable for vegans.

I have fallen in love with this and it has really improved the hydration of my skin. I tend to get a couple of dry patches on my skin which can be difficult to hydrate but having used this every night for the past 2+ weeks my skin has never been softer and so hydrated. It has key ingredients of sweet almond oil and plum seed oil to hydrate the skin and blackthorn extract which is an antioxidant. It is a very rich oil so now that my skin is super hydrated I will be using this every couple of days, especially throughout the winter.

I have been taking a couple of drops every night, warming them in my hands before apply to my face, the oil doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy at all. You can either use this alone or before a moisturiser, I have used it both ways and prefer to use it alone. Not only has it helped nourish my skin but it has also helped calm down all of my redness which means I don't need to apply so much concealer and foundation in the morning trying to cover it. This is definitely going to be a winter essential for me and I highly recommend it if you have very dry skin or even sensitive skin that needs more hydration.

The Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Oil retails for £15.95 for 50ml - link.
