I am always trying new shampoo and conditioner because my hair doesn't like it if I use the same one for too long. Makeup Revolution have recently started stocking DQJ Organics Shampoo and Conditioners and I have been trying out the Argan Oil duo for the past couple of weeks. The Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner claims to help strengthen hair, repair, nourish and reduce frizz. It is specially formulated with moroccan organic argan oil as well as being rich in vitamin E and is designed for coloured, over-processed hair and unmanageable hair damaged my heat styling. I wash my hair everyday and use heat on it daily as well as colouring it often so I am always happy to try out products that will help keep my hair in as good a condition as possible.
Both the shampoo and conditioner have a slight perfumed scent which does slightly linger in my hair which I like. The shampoo really cleans the roots of my hair, getting rid of any product build up, without removing its moisture. The shampoo doesn't lather up like my usually shampoos but after working the product into the scalp it did lather up nicely.
The conditioner is on the lighter side but it can be left on for up to ten minutes to really lock in the moisture. I actually love this conditioner being on the lighter side because many of the conditioners I was using before this were heavy and made the ends of my hair feeling sticky and heavy whereas this left my ends feeling light weight. The conditioner did do a good job at keeping the ends of my hair hydrated while being light enough that you could use it once a week or so on your roots to keep it extra hydrated through the colder months.
What I have noticed while using both of these products daily for the past couple of weeks is that my hair has had increased shine, reduced frizz and looked fuller. The ends of my hair are quite thin but my hair looks incredible when I use this and so thick. I have quite long hair and it can look very dull and weighed down but these two products have helped keep my hair smooth and look bouncy.
