Favourite Foundation Brushes

I have tried so many different ways to apply my foundation and I have finally cracked it and found two brushes which apply foundation flawlessly. Both of these brushes are pretty affordable and work better than some of my more expensive makeup brushes. If you are looking to invest in a couple of good foundation brushes, these are the two that I would recommend.

The brush I have used the most this year is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, I would have included the Buffing Brush but mine actually broke after a few months so pick up this brush instead! This brush is unique to any of the other foundation brushes I have in my brush collection as it is very firm and dense, with some softness around the edges. This brush is on the smaller side which I like with this brush because it means I can really work the foundation into the areas around my nose. The Real Techniques brushes are quite soft too, especially this one. I have used this brush for many different types of foundations but I prefer to apply liquid foundation with it. I have also used this brush for contouring and blending out blush so it is another great multitasking brush from Real Techniques. The Expert Face Brush retails for £8.99 - link.

I was introduced to Zoeva brushes over the Summer and I can honestly say that you can't beat the quality! I have been using the 104 Buffer Brush everyday since I got it. This brush is on the larger side while being incredibly soft and dense. The handle on this brush is slightly thicker which makes it easier to hold when applying your foundation. If you are looking for a brush that is going to give you a flawless and full coverage, this is the brush you need! I have been struggling with a few blemishes and patches of discolouration and no matter what foundation I use, as long as I apply it with this brush, I don't have to worry about it being on show. I also use this brush for concealer as it really buffs it into the skin. If you haven't tried Zoeva brushes before this would be a great place to start! The 104 Buffer Brush retails for £12.95 - link.
