Top 5 Winter Lip Products

I absolutely love lip colours during the colder months because I love a darker lip. Obviously you can wear whatever shade you like year round but I like to be seasonal. These five shades are my favourites for this time of year and most of the shades are from the berry family...I do love a berry lip! All but one of these lip colours are very affordable so if you are looking for some darker lip colours I would definitely recommend any of these.

Swatched: Colourpop Lumière, Colourpop LLB, Soap and Glory Pink Punch, Chanel 96 Aura, Makeup Revolution Rebel with Cause.

During the winter months I like to go for as hydrating lip products as possible. My lips tend to get extremely dry and even more so during the cold weather so anything with some added hydration gets a thumbs up from me. The first two are from Colourpop and I have been obsessed with their Lippie Stix ever since I managed to get them shipped to the UK. (If you are interested in getting Colourpop you can read here about how I get it shipped to the UK - link).  The first one is Lumière created by the gorgeous Kathleen Lights. This lipstick looks completely different on me depending on my lip colour, if my lips are darker that day it looks slightly brown toned which I love. The second shade from Colourpop is LLB. This is one of the darkest lip shades I own and I honestly thought I would never wear it but it is one of my all time favourites. LLB is a rich plum wine shade and it really compliments my pale skin. Both of these Lippie Stix are in the matte finish which are insanely long lasting and pigmented.

The Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Pink Punch is one of the pinker shades while still being a plum based shade. These gloss sticks are very hydrating on the lips and are the perfect handbag size. I love the formula of these and have already used up a couple in other shades. The high end option is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 96 Aura. This is a gorgeous deep purple but because it is on the sheerer side it doesn't look too intense for the daytime. These lipsticks are so hydrating so I make sure I always have this in my handbag. The final winter lip pick is the cheapest and it is from Makeup Revolution called Rebel with Cause. This a stunning plum shade and is always my go to lip colour when I want a vampy look. It is so glossy so there is no need to apply a gloss. This lipsticks are just £1 each so you really can't go wrong!

What are your go to winter lip shades?
