I always get so excited the day my Degustabox gets delivered - who doesn't love a box of food arriving at their door once a month?! This months Degustabox has a healthy theme to start off 2016, full of yummy foods and drinks. I was very excited about this months because it mainly features brands that I have never tried so this box is a great introduction.
Lets start out with my favourite food item from this months box so far...the Hip Pops (2x £1). Crisps are my favourite snacks so I always like trying out new brands and I loved how crunchy these are. I got the Cheese & Onion and the Sweet Chilli flavours, both of which I loved. Four out of six of the flavours available are gluten free and they also typically contain 50% less fat than standard potato crisps on average. The next item in this months box is Betavivo (2x £1). These are a crispy oat heart shaped cereal which is proven to lower your cholesterol and blood glucose. I always make an effort to make sure I eat my 5-a-day and the Nothing But (2x £1.69) freeze dried fruit and vegetable snacks are under 80 calories a bag and have nothing added to them!
Also in the box is a box of Fabulous Bakers (£1.80) Mango & Pineapple Bars. I am going to pop one of these in my handbag for snacking on the go! Another food item I have put straight in my handbag is the Complete Energy (£1.99) Energy Bites. I get so tired at around 2pm everyday because I get up at 5am for work so these will be great for a little pick me up. The products of the month this month are two products from Barilla. There is a box of pasta (£2) as well as a Mediterranean Vegetable Sauce (£1.50). With these two products you have a complete meal, on the back of the information card inside the box is a recipe for this meal. I think I am actually going to make this for myself and my parents one night this week - quick and simple!
Included in this months box is a selection of drinks, all ones I haven't tried before! First up is the KoKo Dairy Free Original (£1.79), I am looking forward to giving this a try as I have been looking for a good alternative to Cows milk. There is two alcoholic drinks in this months box which have both been passed onto my Dad, there is the Crabbies Light Ginger Beer (£1.49) and the Red Square Toffee Mini (£1.99). The DB's Discovery included in this box was the TreeVitalise Water (£2.79). I love trying different waters, I am a bit of a water snob and will only drink select brands so I can't wait to drink this and see how it tastes. The final item in the months box is a gift, its a sachet of Drink Me Chai.
