Makeup for Pale Skin

I have always had very pale skin and I like to avoid the sun as much as possible as I want to keep my skin well protected. Finding products, especially face products, that match and work with my skin tone is hard to find, its even harder on the high street. I have always struggled to find foundations that match, almost every single one on the high street in the lightest shade is still too dark for me. Its even harder to find a bronzer that isn't too dark so that I don't look tangoed.
Makeup for Pale Skin
All four of these products match and work beautifully with my skin tone and all four of them are available from Fragrance Direct at even lower prices - I love a good saving! When it comes to foundations, if you are paler I think it is almost always worth saving the pennies and going for a higher end foundation because you are more likely to find your perfect shade. The MAC Studio Tech Foundation in NC15 (£24.15) is my perfect shade. This foundation is in a cream foundation with a matte finish that provides good coverage. When I use this I don't even need concealer, I like to keep this in my handbag once I have used it in the morning incase I need to touch up as it sets to a powder finish.

Bronzer is my main struggle when it comes to having pale skin, next to foundation of course, because it is so difficult to find a good bronzer that isn't too dark. The L'Oreal Glam Bronze in 101 Blonde (£4.99) is perfect for me. Inside the compact on the top is a gorgeous warm toned bronzer and a highlight, when you lift up this section it reveals a mirror and a travel sized brush. Although I am not a blonde, I went for this shade option because it was the lightest option. The bronzer does have a light shimmer running through it but it doesn't transfer too much on the face which I like, the shade is very warming on the skin. The highlight in the compact is lovely, it gives the cheekbones a lovely glow without being glittery.

I love blushes and the MAC Mineralise Blush in Danity (£19.50) gives the cheeks a lovely pink glow. I apply this with the Real Techniques Blush Brush so that it gives a lighter coverage but I can still build it up if I want it more intense. This looks stunning with the highlight from the L'Oreal bronzer, such a gorgeous glow. This is one of the softest blushes I have ever touched and I know this is going to be the start of a big MAC blush collection.

The final product for pale skin I sometimes struggle with is lip products for everyday. The W7 Tinted Kiss Lip Oil (£2.50) is perfect for everyday and for these cold winter months. This is one of the most hydrating lip products that lasts for a good amount of time on the lips, I would say a good few hours, before it needed reapplying. It gives the lips a slight tint of colour and a tonne of gloss. I do have the YSL Lip Oil but I think this might have become my favourite and replaced it...Sorry YSL!

What are your favourite products for pale skin?
