Acne Free Skincare Routine

It has honestly taken me years to get my skin as clear as it is today. But that doesn't mean that it is always clear, if I slack on my skincare routine or start eating more junk than usual, my skin will have a freak out. These are the products which always go back to and try to use as part of my daily and weekly skincare routine no matter what. Just because these products work wonderfully for me, doesn't always mean they will work for you but it is worth giving them a try!

Morning Routine

I keep my morning skincare routine pretty simple because I am always in a rush and would prefer to spend a few extra minutes in bed! I start off by using my favourite morning cleanser, Soap and Glory Peaches & Clean. This not only smells lovely but it actually cleanses the skin brilliantly and has a slight cooling effect on the skin while keeping my bigger breakouts at bay and helping to minimise the smaller ones. Once I have dried my face I will spritz my face with the La Roche Posay Serozinc. This is a must for blemish prone skin and helps keep any excess oil away and has actually really helped keep my skin clear. I have done a full post about this which you can read here - link. I follow up with a moisturiser but I haven't found the perfect one yet so I haven't included it.

Evening Routine

I will start off by using a micellar/cleansing water to remove my makeup. I have been using Bioderma which is great but I actually prefer the Simple version and it is much cheaper. I will then use Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish to make sure that all traces of makeup are removed and cleanse the skin. If I am feeling very lazy I will skip the micellar water and just use Cleanse & Polish. I will then go ahead and apply the Vichy Idealia Sleep Balm, this is my favourite evening moisturiser as I always wake up to refreshed skin which always looks like I had a wonderful nights sleep even if I hadn't. I finish off with my spot/acne treatment - La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+. This is the best acne and spot treatment I have tried, it always gives me the best results. I get nodules which are huge and very painful and this is the only treatment that can keep my skin clear and keep it clear with continued use.

Weekly Routine

As part of my weekly routine I like to use two different masks. I absolutely love doing a face mask in the bath of an evening and these two are always my go to ones as they give my skin the best results. I have been using the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask for a couple of months now and I have been really enjoying it. It deeply cleanses the skin and helps get rid of any impurities while leaving my skin looking refreshed. This mask has really helped with my black heads on my nose too. The second mask is one of the newer additions to my weekly routine and it is the Manuka Doctor Purifying Facial Peel. This stunts my spots and they disappear! Even though this does dry on the skin it doesn't dehydrate it in the slightest. This makes my skin look amazing, just refreshed and clear. I did a full post about this peel recently, you can check that out here - link.
