February 2016 Birchbox UK

I haven't had a beauty box in so long, usually because I think they are too expensive for the samples included. When I saw that Birchbox had one of the LOC pencils and a spectrum brush, both of which I had been wanting to try for months, I knew I had to order the box! Even better that I found a 50% off discount code making the box around £6.50 - a total bargain!
February 2016 Birchbox UK
This months theme is 'Shine Bright like a Diamond' and aims to keep up with positive vibes making this year the best year ever! This month there is an exclusive to birchbox item and a Spectrum Collections brush in every box which both are full sizes. I had been wanting to try the LOC One and Done Shadow Sticks for a while so I was happy to see that they have made it across the pond and are available in the months box and from the Birchbox Shop. In my box this month are five items and a beauty bonus, depending on your beauty profile will depend on the products you receive it your box. You will of course receive the brush and LOC stick but everything else is dependant on your profile.

The main reason I actually ordered this box was for the Spectrum Collections Tapered Powder Brush (RRP £7.99). Is this not the prettiest makeup brush you have ever seen!? It is incredibly soft and I love how vibrant the brush is, definitely fit for a mermaid. This can be used for so many different types of powder whether it be bronzer, setting powder or a highlight. I think I am going to use this either for setting my under eye concealer or highlighting my cheek bones. I know this is going to be the start of a love affair with Spectrum!

Every box this month includes a LOC One and Done Shadow Stick in either Champagne Problems or Perfect Cents (RRP £8), you select your shade once you have placed your order for your box. I went for the Perfect Cents shade which is a gorgeous metallic gold shade. I swatched this on my hand when it arrived and it did not budge all day! I have very high hopes for this, I will report back soon! Next in my box was another full size which was the Only Fingers + Toes Nail Polish (RRP £16). I have heard good things about this brand and I like that the polishes are free from the big five chemicals usually found in nail polish. The shade I received was Manganese which is a grey/green shade perfect for Autumn/Winter.

The next items I wasn't too fussed about but I am still going to give a try. First is the Number 4 Lumeire d'hover Super Comb Prep & Protect (full size is £20). I always like trying new products on my hair because it can be quite dry from all of the heat use. I was a little disappointed about the Pommade Divine Natures Remedy Balm (full size is £19.80), not because I didn't want to try the product but because the sample is only third full! If you are going to include a sample size, at least fill up the tube so I can actually test the product and then possibly buy the full size! The beauty bonus in this months box was a L. Ericsson Grab & Go Ponytail Holder. I got one of these in a birchbox in the Summer and I loved it so I am happy to have another in my life. I think I will actually order the set of 15 of these!
