L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist

Quite a few high street brands have been launching setting sprays and fixing mists and I am so happy to see that they are finally affordable! I am such a big fan of the Urban Decay Setting Spray but paying £22 for it puts me off repurchasing it, I would much rather buy a new foundation or lipstick! I had seen very mixed things about the L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist but I still wanted to try it and see how it compared to come of the high end options.
L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist
I have been using this for the past three weeks or so and I have actually noticed a difference in how long my makeup lasts since using it. This fixing mist is the first ever from L'Oreal and aims to extend the wear of makeup and prevent melting, fading and cracking of the makeup. To apply the spray, you need to shake the bottle well before use and hold it around 20/25cm away from the spray and spritz in an X & T motion. I like to pay more attention to my T zone and chin as these are the areas which I need my makeup prolonged the most.

I have noticed a huge difference in the way my makeup lasts and how it looks throughout the day. Before I started using this my makeup would start to melt off around my nose and on my chin especially but since using this it will last all day long. The spray is much wetter than the Urban Decay one I was using previously so I like to apply this before doing my lips, eyes and brows as I only need my base makeup set. As the mist is on the wetter side, I do fan my face for a couple of seconds to make sure that it fully dries before I continue doing my makeup.

The mist doesn't dry out the skin but it does set on the face and once it sets you cannot feel it. It doesn't matter which foundation and concealer I use, makeup on my chin doesn't hold up well and I find it so difficult to make it last throughout the day. However now my foundation lasts all day when I use this and what I really like about this is how it makes my makeup look throughout the day. It leaves my base makeup looking as if I had just applied it at 7pm even though I applied it very early in the morning! I can't wait to put this to the test during the Summer and see if it will stop my making melting off.

If you are looking for a budget setting spray, I would definitely give this a try! It retails for £7.99 but it is currently on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots - HERE.
