Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam

When I saw all of the new Benefit releases the one product I knew I had to get my hands on was Shy Beam. The day it went on Feel Unique I ordered it and I have been loving it ever since (you might have seen it in my haul - HERE). I was a little nervous to try Shy Beam as I can't use High Beam as I had a reaction to it but luckily for me Shy Beam is fine for my skin - yippee!

Shy Beam is the newest highlighter from Benefit and in true Benefit fashion has incredible packaging. Even the outer box has the prettiest Dandelion designs with pink and green metallic shades running throughout the box. The highlighter itself is in the same style packaging as all of the other tints from Benefit, they look like nail polishes! The bottle of Shy Beam is stunning and is far too pretty to be kept hiding away in a draw! The bottle is a light pink metallic with a beading detail around the cap and a Dandelion design on the top of the bottle.

Benefit Shy Beam is a nude pink matte highlighter - yes really, it's matte! It has a light weight formula and a gorgeous scent, it's the same as the Dandelion Blush which is one of my all time favourite products! This is the perfect liquid highlighter for those who like a natural makeup look as it isn't going to add any shimmer or glitter, it is just going to keep you looking radiant! I find it best to apply it in small dots then take a damp beauty blender to blend it out. I would say this is better suited towards paler skin tones as it is quite light. I have been using this in my cheekbones for a matte radiance or applying a powder highlight over the top for a glow that can be seen from space!

However my favourite use of Shy Beam is to use it under my eyes to brighten - thanks Ree for the tip (see her review HERE). I have been loving using this under my eyes before foundation and concealer to help brighten my dark circles. As I am quite pale and this is a matte product it's perfect for it. It makes such a difference to my under eyes and even on no makeup days I still still use Shy Beam under my eyes to make me look a little more awake!
