I will be the first to admit that I know I should be using an eye cream everyday but I just couldn't be bothered before and the ones I had been using didn't seem to make a difference. Then I won the Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream in a giveaway on Twitter and I haven't stopped using it since! I am so glad that I won it because I don't think I personally would have spent the £22 without trying it first.
This eye cream is one of the newer releases from Clinique and I had heard really good things about it so I couldn't wait to start using it. This eye cream aims to make you look wide awake and refreshed in just three seconds by hydrating, brightening and perking you up. It has a cool touch and de puffing to application to keep the eyes looking as fresh as possible. This eye cream can be used twice daily but I prefer to only use it in the mornings, you can also reapply as needed throughout the day if you need some extra pep and hydration.
I have been using this for around a month now and I am liking it to the point of actually making the effort to use it everyday and not skip the step which I was doing previously. I was noticing that my eye area was feeling dry so this couldn't have arrived at a better time as it has really helped hydrate my under eyes. I find the applicator to be so handy to apply the product and it fits my under eye area brilliantly. I wouldn't go as far as saying makes me look wide awake but it definitely helps brighten up the under eye area making it look a little less dark and dull. What I really love about these eye cream is that every morning after I have applied it my concealer applies beautifully and looks so smooth while not making my makeup crease throughout the day.
Some mornings I do suffer some puffy eyes if I haven't had a good nights sleep and it helps get rid of the puffiness quickly and makes me look much more awake than I did! It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I have always had very dark under eyes and often struggle to find a concealer that will cover them. But this eye cream has really helped brighten up these dark areas especially towards the inner corner where they are the darkest.
If you are looking for an eye cream to help you look a little more refreshed in the mornings, I would definitely give this a try!
