Budget Base Must Haves

You might have seen recently that I posted my everyday base must haves (link here to read that post) and I mentioned that I wanted to find some good products on a budget. I have finally found them and I have found myself using them over some of my luxury items. There are so many great brands on the high street with products which sould have much higher price tags but I am not complaining!
Budget Base Must Haves
When I am looking for base products, I like to find products that are going to provide me with a good coverage with a light weight feel to the skin. I hate being able to feel products on my face and I like to have a matte finish. I have oily skin in my T zone so I also need products which are going to help keep my oil at bay while concealing my acne scarring and breakouts. There aren't many foundations and concealers that I like from the high street and nothing comes close to my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation but this budget one does come in a close second.

I start off buy applying a primer to prolong the wear of my base and help control any shine. The one I am using at the moment is the Sleek Control Shine & Prime and I have been super impressed with it! This makes my pores disappear while keeping all my oil at at bay! I then go in and apply my foundation with the Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush, the foundation I am using at the moment is the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. This foundation gives the skin great coverage and lasts for most of the day while keeping my acne covered. I find that I don't usually need to use concealer if my skin isn't too bad with this foundation.

I use two concealers, one for under my eyes and the other for blemishes. The one I have been loving to conceal my dark circles is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal. This concealer gives the perfect amount of coverage for daily wear and doesn't cake up or crease under the eyes. I usually find high street concealers to be a terrible colour match for my pale skin but this is in the shade light and it matches me perfectly. The only concealer I have tried that I love for covering my blemishes and scarring from the high street is the Collection Lasting Perfection. Everybody and their dog loves this concealer because it has amazing coverage and doesn't feel heavy on the skin while lasting all day. I have used this under eyes in the past and liked it but I found it creased towards the end of the day.

To set my foundation and concealer I have been loving the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder again. I'm not a huge fan of Rimmel but this powder is incredible stuff. I can use it to set all of my foundation and my under eye concealer without it making too much of a difference to the way my base looks. When I use it to set my under eye concealer it isn't too heavy and doesn't crease like my previous one did. For highlighter one of my all time favourites is the Makeup Revolution Goddess of Love Highlighter. This gives the cheek bones a gorgeous golden glow.
