L'Oreal Magic Retouch

I have been dying my hair L'Oreal Natural Darkest Brown for six years now and when you have almost blonde hair naturally you get some pretty ugly roots! I try to touch my colour every two months or as long as I can possibly leave it but my roots always drive me mad. I had been using black eyeshadow to try and cover up my roots and while it did the job fine, it wasn't all that long lasting so when I saw the L'Oreal Magic Retouch I couldn't wait to try it out!

The L'Oreal Magic Retouch is available in five different colour options and I decided on Dark Brown but I probably could have done with the black version as my hair is almost black anyway but it still is a good colour match. I have been using this for the past few weeks or so and I have been quite impressed with the results but I do have a couple of issues with the product but nothing that is going to make me stop using it as I do love being able to conceal my mega roots without having to dye my hair every month.

In each can it says it will give you up to 30 uses which isn't bad for £8.99, I got mine for £5.99 at Boots as it was on offer. It is L'Oreal's first instant root concealer spray which is going to perfectly match your roots and blend the colouring to leave you with a naturally concealed root area. It is to be applied to dry and styled hair, make sure to shake the can well before use and hold around 10cm away from the roots and spray in a light stream. I would highly recommend using this before you apply your makeup as no matter how I have used it, I have ended up with it all over my forehead but it can be removed very easily if you do happen to use after makeup if you forget!

When I use this you would never know that I had almost 2cm of roots as it conceals them brilliantly and the colour blends into the rest of my hair colour! One thing I really love about this is that it doesn't transfer and it lasts until you wash your hair. I touch my hair a lot and I find that even when I rub at my roots and it doesn't transfer onto my skin. What I don't like about this is how it makes my roots feel, they feel rough compared to the rest of my hair when I spray a little too much, think if you sprayed too much hair spray in your hair.  If you have grey hairs which you don't want to be seen this would be a great product to use to conceal them without having to dye your hair regularly if you only have a few. I have found it to be so quick to use and doesn't take up any extra time in the mornings so I can have a few more minutes in bed!

If you are looking for a product to help prolong your hair in-between being coloured I would give this a try. I am not a huge fan of how it makes my hair feel if I use too much but when I wash it out it doesn't effect my hairs softness or texture so it has no long lasting effects which I am happy about. The L'Oreal Magic Retouch retails for £8.99 - HERE.
