This is a scent I thought I would never purchase. Everybody seems to love this scent but I didn't think I would like it as a only really like vanilla or fruity scents. I spotted it when I was at the Zoo of all places, gave it a quick sniff and it came home with me and it has become one of my new favourite scents! This scent is part of the new Yankee Candle Riviera Escape collection.
The Yankee Candle Riviera Escape collection consists of four beautiful fragrances, Summer Peach, Riviera Escape, Olive & Thyme and of course, Sea Salt & Sage. This scent is described as a clean and fresh scent with warm and inviting sage with the fresh scent of sea salt. This scent is available in multiple formats of three different jar sizes, samplers and wax melts. I always go for wax melts as I find them to be much more affordable and in most cases have better scent kick off from my experience. If you don't know what a wax melt is, they are to be used in a warm as they have no wick and once they are warmed the scent begins to release.
I have heard very mixed things about this scent, some say it smells like celery and something you would rub into meat and others say it is the best scent on the planet and smells like a manly fresh scent with hints of aftershave. I happen to agree with the manly fresh scent - it is an incredibly fresh scent with sexy man hints. I think this would be a great scent for a kitchen or bathroom as it is on the lighter side and isn't going to over power the room. I found this scent to be on the lighter side which I preferred that is how I like my fresh family scents to be.
In terms of how many hours I got out of my wax melt, I would say that I was pushing at it getting the full eight hours of home fragrance. Because it is on the lighter side to begin with, it does get lighter in scent throw with every melt so towards the end it was difficult to smell it for the duration of the melt. I am definitely going to repurchase this as it is one of the only scents that I like that isn't vanilla or fruity based.
