Technic Cosmetics First Impressions

I had always spotted Technic Cosmetics online but I had never had the chance to try out any of their products previously. I am kicking myself for not trying out the brand sooner as I have found some incredible hidden gems which are so affordable. I was that impressed with one of the products that minutes after it arrived I had to order it in a different shade!

I think that Technic cosmetics are a great brand if you are on a budget or wanting to expand your makeup collection. They are so many different palettes and products available as well as good quality brushes and stunning highlighters. I would compare Technic to a brand like Makeup Revolution or MUA in terms of price and quality and you know how much I love Makeup Revolution! All of the products are housed in clear and black palettes or compacts and aren't too bulky so they won't take up too much room in your makeup bag.

The first product I tried out was the Mega Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. I had actually been on the hunt for a new affordable matte palette and was surprised by this one from Technic. All of the shades are decently pigmented (even the lighter shades) and apply evenly to the eyes and are pretty smooth. These aren't the most long lasting shadows I have used but a good eyeshadow primer makes all of the difference. Another palette I have been testing out is the Colour Fix Cream Corrector Palette. Colour Correcting is a huge beauty trend right now so I am glad that affordable brands are getting involved. The shades in this palette are brilliant but you do have to work them into the skin pretty quickly before they set. What I really like about this colour correcting palette and why I prefer it over my other affordable options is that the cream shades aren't oily in the slightest. The shades in this palette and the uses are:

- Pink to brighten
- Lilac to correct yellow
- Green to conceal redness
- Peach to neutralise blue undertones
- Rose to cancel out discoloration
- Silver Shimmer to highlight and brighten
- Yellow for dark purple patches
- Tan to warm ash coloured skintones

The Superfine Matte Blusher is made up of three different pink powder blushes when can be used separately or you can swirl your brush between all three. While this blush when swirled together is a little intense for my skintone it actually applies slightly sheer to the cheeks which I love as my skin is on the paler side and I find that it suits me better. The brush I have been using to apply this blush is from Technic and is the Pro Blusher Brush. This brush is one of the softest ones I have ever come across and applies blush perfectly. It is very fluffy so you could even use it for bronzer - I am going to order another one for bronzing soon!

And now for the product that has completely stolen the show - the Bronze Highlighting Powder. This was love at first swatch - it is one of the prettiest bronze highlighters I have ever come across and is the product that I immediately ordered another shade of as soon as this one arrived! If you have a darker or meduim skintone this would be the perfect cheekbone highlighter but as I am paler I like to use it as an eyeshadow. I can still wear this as a cheekbone highlight if I really sheer it out though. This is such a stunning glowly super soft highlighter and I just cannot stop staring at it.

Have you tried Technic Cosmetics? What did you think?
