Blow Dry Waves with GHD

Without fail every single day I blow dry my hair (unless I am too lazy to actually wash my hair every now and again) and the ghd Air Hair Dryer has been a game changer when it comes to my hair. I have very long and thick hair which is poker straight so I decided to play around with this new tool and see what kinds of looks I can create.

The ghd Air Hair Dryer is a professional and powerful hair dryer with a 2,100W strength motor to get your hair dry in half the time! In the box is the hair dryer itself with a 3m long power cable and two nozzles. It has changeable speeds and temperature settings as well as a cool shot setting. I have been using this hair dryer for the past month and it makes my hair dry so much quicker than it did before and my hair is always left with a smooth finish no matter what products I use on my hair. I always use the ghd Heat Protect Spray to make sure my hair doesn't get any more damage.

As I mentioned, my hair is naturally pretty much poker straight and I watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube and decided to give blow dry waves a try! I switch between twisting my hair with my fingers and holding the hair dryer on these sections and using a small barrel brush, using the brush is very time consuming on my hair as I have so much of it! As you can see from the photo above, using these two methods adds some gorgeous natural waves to the hair which is perfect for summer as it is very beachy looking. I much prefer to create waves with a hair dryer rather than a curling iron because it actually holds in my hair when I use the hair dryer! If I use a curling iron the curls will fall out of my hair within a couple of hours but with the hair dryer it will last well into the next day and I am able to brush through my hair without having to worry.

You can see in the photo just how much hair I have but the curls really transform my usually heavy and boring looking hair! The ghd Air actually much quieter than my previous hair dryer and is so much more powerful but it doesn't make my hair knotty while I blow dry it which I really like as my hair tends to be a little tangley.

The ghd Air retails for £99 - HERE
