Skin Chemists Advanced Snail Moisturisers

I am always on the look out for new and exciting products which are going to hydrate my skin. When I first heard about these products and started to test them out - all I could think of was that I was putting snails on my face! As these are very expensive, I had my Mum put them to the test also has she has much maturer skin than I do and I want to find out how both of our results would compare.
Skin Chemists Advanced Snail Moisturisers
There are two moistusiers from the Advanced Snail range, the Night and Day and each retail for £175 so if your into skincare and have some extra cash to spend, you might want to check out these products! The Day Moisturiser aims to leave the skin protected and hydrated throughout the day with a smooth finish. Whereas the Night Moisturiser aims to revive and regenerate the skin while you sleep. Both of these two products have Snail Secretion, derived from the natural defensive liquid secreted by snails to aim to delay the skin from premature againg while keeping to reduce visible age spots among other benefits.

The Day Moisturiser has Tiare Flower Extract which is combined with light and silky coconut oil to work toegther to hydrate, repair and soothe the skin. It also has Vitamin E Acetat to leave the skin feeling moisturised and providing further protection against skin damage from environmental aggressors. The Night Moisturiser has Vitamin E which is thought to be anti-inflammatory and hydrating on the skin to help improve the skins overall health and repair any damage from UV-Rays. It also has Creatine to help revitalise the skin and support skin production while providing deep moisturise within the skin. The night version also has Coconut Oil which will help with sensitive, dry and itchy skin to rebalance the skin's natural pH levels.

Both products once applied on the skin don't leave behind any excess or oily feeling and sinks into the skin quickly which is important for the Day Moisturiser as I didn't have to wait around to apply my makeup. The Night Moisturiser is deeply hydrating and it is very firming on the skin. My mum noticed since using both of these that the lines around the nose and mouth looked plumper and skin looked smoother overall. By using both of these products in our skincare routines, the skin has been very hydrated and soft while my Mum's maturer skin has been plumped and firmed as well.

Both products are available for £175 each - HERE.

  2. I'd be a bit worried about the night moisturiser having coconut oil in it as that oil is 4/5 on the comedogenic scale, meaning it clogs pores in the long run...yikes! But sounds fun to have tried some luxury skincare.

  3. I've also read about coconut oil being comedogenic, not good for people who are spot prone as it is. Although I've tried snail cream years ago and loved it, helped to clear up my spots I had after a crazy breakout x

  6. That is some serious coin but I'm a sucker for an expensive product. I need to get a sample of this and see if it is worth it - I'm sure it is as your mum had such a great result from it.

  8. Wow they are pricy but great if you're able to try them. I've tried a few snail based things and not really seen too much of a difference personally, but it was probably the brands I was trying x

  22. A bit expensive for us, the packaging looks super smart, my mummy would be worried of getting a breakout, as she has really greasy, spot prone skin unfortunately
