Autumn Neutral Nails with Annika

This autumn a big trend for nails is neutral shades and while I am a fan of very deep shades, I do love a neutral nail for work sometimes. Annika is a new brand of nail polish that I have been testing out for the past couple of weeks which are incredibly affordable.

These four shades are great for keeping your nails on trend this Autumn. Neutral nails have been predicted to be a big trend this year and these shades are going to get you ready for Autumn. I had never tried Annika nail polish before but as a nail polish junkie, I will try anything and everything! But I am very fussy with my nail polish, I like a polish to be quick drying on the nails while being pretty opaque on the first coat as I haven't got the time or patience to be doing three coats as well as top coat (occasionally).

The four shades I have been wearing are: (As pictured from top left in swatches)

- Natural Beauty a light cream
- Shadow Grey a light cool toned grey shade
- Clean Slate is a rich mid-toned grey (slightly darker than Shadow Grey)
-Cafe Au Lait is a classic nude

I really like the packaging with these polishes, they have a black cap which is matte to the touch and twists off to reveal a circular top which makes it much easier to apply the polish to the nails. The brush on these nail polishes from Annika is a great size and coats the nail well and picks up the perfect amount of polish without being too thick. I found that with all but one of the nail polishes that two coats of polish was more than enough to achieve the colour in the bottle. The only shade which will need a coat or two more than the others is Natural Beauty which I expected as it is a much lighter shade than the rest.

Once applied I have found them to be pretty quick drying and have a gorgeous glossy finish - you can't beat glossy nails! I didn't use any base or top coat when I used each of the shades and I found they lasted for a couple of days on my nails which I think is great as my nails are in terrible condition and nail polish usually chips within a day!
