Evening Eyes with Mary Kay

I have been trying out a few different products from Mary Kay over the past month and I must say I have been very impressed! I have even found a new favourite product which I will definitely repurchase in the future. Using these two products I can create a gorgeous evening eye but I can also use these products to create a very simple eye look and you are going to want to check out this mascara, it's incredible stuff!

The Mary Kay City Modern Eyeshadow Palette in Metro Modern is a one-stop shop for an evening eye look. Inside the compact are four gorgeous eyeshadows, with a mixture of matte and metallic shades. This palette has the three perfect shadows to create a smokey eye in just a few minutes but there is also a stunning bronze metallic shade which you could use on the lower lash line with just a few coats of mascara and be good to go. All of the shades are extremely soft and blendable while being amazingly pigmented. The shadows in this compact are cool toned which I normally don't go for but when it comes to a smokey eye - you can't beat cool-toned eyeshadows.

Now for the star of the show - Lash Intensity Mascara! I am a mascara junkie and I  am always up for trying out new ones and seeing how they work on my lashes. I am very fussy when it comes to mascaras as I like my lashes to be extremely long, thick and black and this mascara ticks all those boxes! The wand is big and if you have short lashes I am not sure how this would work for you from my experience as my lashes are natural quite long. This mascara gives my lashes so much volume, it claims to be up to 200% more and is like adding the thickness of two lashes into every one. This claim I have to agree with as my lashes have never looked thicker without looking clumpy. And when I use this mascara my lashes are so long that they almost touch my eyebrows - it's a triple win!

One of the major plus points about this mascara apart from how much I love the way my lashes look when I use, it is that it doesn't flake off, melt or transfer. I find with a lot of mascaras that I love the way they make my lashes look but they just don't hold up well throughout the day. But with this mascara, it looks as if I have just applied it many hours after I have and even when it comes to removing my makeup. I found with a lot of mascaras that it would transfer onto under my brow bone but again I don't have this problem with this mascara.

You can purchase both products from the Mary Kay website - HERE.
