Go to Autumn Lip Products (+ Swatches)

Now that it is September I feel that I can now justify wearing berry and full on lipstick again, even if it is still pretty warm out! During the summer I pretty much only wore sheer lip products or a bit of gloss but these products have that their dust brushed off and are ready for use!

Swatched: Elizabeth Arden Daring Bare, MAC Syrup, MAC Plumful, Urban Decay Sheer Ladyflower & Chanel Aura

While four of these I had already in my collection, the newest addition is the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Liquid Lipstick in Baring Dare. This is the perfect nude for my lighter skin tone. This product has the pigment of a lipstick but applies and feels like a lovely gloss on the lips. I'm not the biggest fan of the matte lip trend so I am always excited to find new glosses. I love the applicator on this product too as it's flocked and glides the product onto the lips. I have also found that this product doesn't bleed or feather outside the lip line.

Around Christmas last year I decided I wanted to order a couple of MAC lipsticks and it is finally time for me to wear them again! The first one is Syrup which is my perfect everyday lip colour of a neutral pink. This shade isn't too pigmented as I like this for day time as it looks more natural on the lips and not too intense against my light skin tone. The second MAC lipstick I love is Plumful which is a slightly darker version of Syrup and is in the lustre finish and is described as a blossoming rose plum. I like to wear this lipstick pretty much whenever I am out of work or in the evening with a simple eye look of winged liner and tonnes of mascara!

I am a huge fan of sheer lipsticks and I love the way they look and feel on the lips. The Urban Decay Sheer Ladyflower lipstick is one of my all time favourite shades and what makes it even better is that I managed to it get for £9 when it was on sale a couple of months ago! This is a medium pink shade with cool undertones and a light shine. This is one of the most comfortable lip products I own. The last lip product I love to wear in the Autumn is Chanel Aura which looks so scary in the tube but it actually applies much sheerer on the lips. This is a stunning deep purple/plum which I love wearing whenever I get the chance!

What are your favourite lip products for Autumn?

  1. I love the change of seasons and seeing what make up comes out for each season and switching to different colours too.
I am a sheer Lippie or lip gloss girl but in winter I will wear something a bit mroe full on if I am going out.

  3. I LOVE autumn/winter makeup it's so much vampier than summer makeup imho. I am a matte girl through and through but the Elizabeth Arden one might make it into my collection!

  4. The Elizabeth Arden one looks fabulous, great selection. I'm definitely going darker, love darker lips well anytime of the year but it's so much more fitting during Autumn x

  5. You probably know that I'm all blah blah organic, natural, etc... But you know, the one 'non natural' make up line I really do miss is Chanel. And they really aren't natural so there's no getting around it for me. But the packaging, the smell, the texture, the colours. It was heaven in a make up bag. I still have an amazing red Chanel lipstick called Dragon! I never was really ever able to carry off the burgundies and berries though. You're lucky that your complexion and darker hair lets you wear that look very well. Enjoy your autumn look!

  7. I opened it just for that Chanel lipstick - which looks gorgeous!! I've never had any Chanel makeup and I may just pop my Chanel cherry for this beauty 😍

I love all the berry tones and am bringing them ALL out (just trying not to rush into it too much). I love NARS Sin and CT Glastonberry, a good buildable Berry and an in your face vampy lip.

  11. I love the Chanel lipstick. Pink doesn't look nice on me but darker shades are great, so I stick to them and always try to find new ones. I like the translucent effect with this one.
