Sleek Colour Correcting Palette

Colour correcting has been a huge beauty trend this year and finally some of my favourite high street brands have released their own colour correcting palettes. I am still pretty new to colour correcting but when I do take the time to do it, I always notice a huge difference. I am very fussy with colour correcting products as I don't want them to be too pigmented that they show through foundation and I don't want them to effect how my foundation and concealer sits on the skin and as it wears throughout the day.

This is the Sleek Colour Correcting Palette and it is probably my favourite one that I have tried and the one that I always reach for. This is the ultimate pro tool for achieving a flawless and perfect base. Inside the sleek compact are six cream colour correctors which are going to help minimise imperfections and counteract any discolouration. This palette claims to leave you with an even base for a flawless foundation application. I must admit I never knew what all of the shades apart from green so if you are like me here are what each shade can be used for:

- Green is for neutralising any redness and is ideal for helping the concealing application for blemishes, breakouts and scarring.
- Lilac is going to help neutralise yellow and is ideal for brightening sallow and dull complexions.
- Blue can be used to neutralise orange and is great for freckles and hyperpigmentation.
- Rose is for adding radiance and brightening any dark spots.
- Yellow can be used for concealing any veins or dark circles and will help neutralise purple.
- Orange is for neutralising blue and would be ideal for concealing dark circles on medium skin tones.

I like to use these cream correctors before applying any foundation and concealer so that when I do go in with my base products I will know that any of the colour correctors will be completely concealed and I won't have any hulk-ness showing through for example. I like to use a concealer brush to apply it to the selected area and then take a beauty blender sponge to blend. Since playing around with this palette I have found that a little goes a long way!

I have been pretty impressed with this palette and my favourite correctors have to be the green as well as the rose. I suffer from a lot of redness from years of acne which as left behind a bit of scarring. I have tried many green correctors and this one if my favourite because it doesn't leave behind any green cast on the skin. I love that when I use the green corrector I don't have to apply any concealer to the areas which I was before as when I apply my foundation it looks flawless with no redness in sight! I haven't noticed any of the shades to interfere with the way my foundation applies or wears throughout the day either.

The Sleek Colour Correcting Palette retails for £7.99 - HERE.
