First Impressions of Sainsbury's Boutique Makeup Range

Until recently, I had no idea that Sainsbury's had a beauty range - how had I missed it! I have been playing around with these few products and I must say I am impressed. They have some great products from their range and it definitely shouldn't be overlooked, especially if you are on a budget!

Cream Blush is a product that used to scare me as I never knew the right way to apply and I generally don't like cream based products. However, the Boutique Cream Blush in C'est La Vie is a gorgeous pink which is super pigmented and a little goes a long way. I really like to apply this with a stippling brush to the cheeks and it is a beautiful pink. What I really like about this is that it sets to a powder finish so I didn't have to worry about it slipping around my face. This will be a great product for the summer months for no makeup days to add a flush to the cheeks.

Then I have two single shadows in Blaze of Glory and Forty Winks which is my favourite out of the two and is a beautiful light copper shimmer, I am obsessed with warm-toned eyeshadows. Both of these single shadows come in cute small compacts so they won't take up much room in your makeup collection. Both shades are so pigmented and easy to apply on the eyes. Both make stunning lid shades and I have even used Blaze of Glory on my lower lash line and I love how it looks with simple winged eyeliner and mascara. These shadows don't crease on me throughout the day either and I found them to be pretty blendable.

Then we have two lip glosses, I am obsessed with glosses and wear them most days. I have The Coast is Clear which is a clear gloss, great to have in your collection, as well as Hocus Pocus which is a soft pink with slight shimmer. I was expecting these lip glosses to be pretty sticky but they aren't at all and they are super comfortable to wear. These are the perfect shades for everyday wear and last for a few hours on the lips. I love keeping Hocus Pocus in my handbag as it is so easy to apply and goes with so many makeup looks.

  10. Oooo I've seen a lot of reviews on the sainsbury's range now! I like the look of the cream blush but for me the glosses look a little watery but that might also be because I don't use glosses at all so wouldn't really know haha!
