I had been wanting to try out the Kat Von D products for the longest time so when I saw that Debenhams at 10% off a few weeks ago, I made my first purchase. I decided to pick up the Lock It Concealer rather than any of her liquid lipsticks as I hadn't seen anyone really talk about this and concealers are one of my all time favourite makeup products to try out.
The Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Creme claims to be the first formula to bring together what everyone wants in a concealer, to be super-creamy, blendable with full coverage and having true 24 hour wear time. It is free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates and comes in tube style packaging with a doe foot applicator which I am really like. For £20 you get 6.25g of product. This concealer claims it can be used to brighten under the eyes, cover blemishes, correct discolouration and neutralise redness while also being able to be used for contouring and highlighting.
The concealer I was using before this was what I classed a holy grail status, the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer is great stuff. However, this concealer from Kat Von D knocks it out of the park and is a thousand times better - sorry Too Faced, I still love you! As soon as I first applied this I knew it was going to be my go to and I am yet to find something I don't like about this product. This concealer has the highest coverage I have found when compared some of the concealers I had used before and while it is a very creamy, slightly thicker, formula, I have never found it to be too heavy to use under the eyes or look cakey on the skin.
The tiniest amount of this concealer goes a long way and you really can cover anything with this concealer! I love it for under the eyes as it covers all discolouration and does a great group at brightening too. I have never found a concealer to cover my acne quite like this one does, it is incredible! While it is such a full coverage, it blends so easily and never looks heavy or cakey throughout the day. It is incredibly long lasting too, I can apply this at 5am and it is still looking great at 9pm! I can't wait to try the Lock It Foundation next! For colour reference, I am an NC15 at MAC, Light Warm in the Urban Decay Naked Concealer and Fair in the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer and I decided on Light Warm 03 which is the perfect match.
The Kat Von D Lock It Concealer retails for £20 and is available at Debenhams - HERE.
