I have been wanting to try Make Up For Ever for the longest time and this year I have tried a few different products and loved them! I was sent a lovely surprise Christmas gift from the people over at Precious About Makeup (thank you!) and I have become even more obsessed with MUFE!
While this is currently out of stock everywhere in the UK, I thought I would still review as you can buy all of these products individually and if you are in the US, you can still purchase this at a great price! This is the Artistic Smoky Eye Kit from this year's Christmas Make Up For Ever collection which includes three mini sized eye products. I really like the three products they included inside the box as they are makeup bag essentials and with products like eyeliners, I never go through a full size so I always prefer to have mini's in my collection.
Included in this gift set are two mini eyeliners and one mini mascara. The two eyeliners are the Aqua XL Eye Pencils in Black and Brown. These claim to be an extra long lasting and waterproof eyeliners and I would have to agree one thousand percent. Both shades are incredibly pigmented and once you apply them, they will not budge no matter if you rub the eyes or get soaking wet - I have never been so impressed! In the swatch photo, that is after me rubbing my arm multiple times and they look no different than they did before. Black and Brown are such classic shades and must haves in everyone's makeup collections so it's so great to have them. I now want to get a few different shades! Even though these don't budge once applied, they are very creamy and glide onto the skin.
The mascara included in this trio of the Excessive Lash Mascara. When I first looked at the wand my first impression was that I was going to hate it but I have actually been super impressed with it and considering getting a full size back up! If you are looking for a mascara for length and volume, you have to give this a try! This mascara makes my lashes incredibly long and I was worried that it would transfer but I haven't had any issues. Because the wand is so slim, you can really work it into the lashes for the best results. If I want slightly thicker lashes, I will apply a quick coat of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara after application and I am good to go!
