Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette Review + Swatches

Chelsea made me buy it, this purchase is solely her fault but I am so glad she convinced me to order this - why didn't I get my hands on it sooner! Laura Lee Palette...I am coming for you next! I have heard such good things about the Violet Voss eyeshadow palettes and I haven't been disappointed, I much prefer this palette over any of my Urban Decay palettes and the pigmentation is so much better!

This is the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette which includes 20 highly pigmented eyeshadows in a range of finishes from mattes to metallics. The shadows have been infused with Jojoba Oil and have been made with the highest quality ingredients and formulated to allow to smooth and easy blending. This palette is what Violet Voss call the perfect go-to palette for any occasion to create your flawless sexy look. While this is now out of stock on the Beauty Bay website, the Violet Voss website will have it back in stock around April so do keep your eyes peeled as it will be back!

The palette itself has been repackaged I believe and now comes in which I have been told to be a much sturdier palette with a holographic sheen to the cardboard. I have to say, this packaging is much better quality than I was expecting, it feels incredibly sturdy and well made. I thought that this palette was going to be much bigger than it is with smaller pans but I love that it isn't huge and the pans are much bigger, you do get a lot of product for your money. Inside the palette are the 20 gorgeous eyeshadow shades as well as a mirror for on the go applications. I also like that Violet Voss named the shadows with the names underneath the shadows.

This palette is packed full of warm toned shadows with mattes, metals, and satin shades and you get 1.8 grams of each shadow. This palette is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly - yay for saving the bunnies from harm! I love this palette. I only really wear warm tone eyeshadows so this palette is pretty much all I could ever need and is all I have been using since it arrived a few weeks ago. The metallic and sheen finish shades like Toffee, Bat My Eyes, Cool Beans and Cranberry Splash are intensely pigmented and very impressive, all of the shades in the swatch pictures is just one swipe too! The matte shades are good but when I was swatching them, I did find them to be a little dry but once applied with a brush there was no problem.

All of the shades that I have used so far are so easy to apply, almost effortless and blend out with almost no effort. I do find the shades apply a little better with an eyeshadow primer which is pretty much standard with all eyeshadows. I love the shade range in this palette as you can create so many different looks and all of the shades would well together. My favourite shades at the moment are Toffee,  R U Kitten Me and Awesome Sauce. Without fail, I use Transition every day, obviously as my Transition shade, as well as Thanks a Latte all over the lid and up to the brow bone. All of the shades last so well on the eyes and don't crease or fade throughout the day. If you are a warm tone shadow obsessive like me, you need this palette in your collection as soon as possible.

This palette retailed for £43 on the BeautyBay website making each shadow around £2.15 which are well worth the money! Glamaidey is also a Violet Voss stockist as well.
