Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation & La Base Pro Hydra Glow

Lancome are killing it with their shade range with this newly relaunched foundation, it is available in 40 shades - this puts so many brands to shame with only having 12 shades! Now everyone will be able to find a good shade match with this new foundation from the brand, I have been testing it out for a few weeks now and I have been really loving the coverage and finish it has on the skin.

The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation is one of the best-selling products from Lancome and as it is available in 40 shades, it makes it so much easier to find your perfect match. I am in the shade 005 which is the lightest shade available and is a brilliant match, I am an NC15 in MAC foundations for reference. This is a liquid foundation that claims to be full coverage without feeling cakey on the skin and leaves the skin feeling comfortable all day long while being incredibly long lasting. It is also transfer and smudge free.

What I like about this foundation is that it has Perlite and Silica in which are known for being two of the most effective oil-absorbing ingredients so you don't have to worry about having to touch up every few hours. This foundation applies beautifully to the skin either with a damp sponge or All Foundation Brush from Lancome. I love to use the brush to buff the foundation into areas like around the nose and chin.

This foundation definitely has amazing coverage, I like to build it up as I don't need full coverage on my cheeks for example and it is really easy to do so without making the skin look cakey. I have to agree with the long lasting claims as it lasts all day on my skin with only a few touch-ups throughout the day, usually in my T-Zone where I am the oiliest. I hate being able to feel my foundation on the skin throughout the day and this was pretty much undetectable on the skin and has become one of my go-to products for my everyday makeup.

To prime the skin before foundation, I have been really enjoying the La Base Pro Hydra Glow. This primer has been infused with 14 intensive skin care actives in a duo-phase-sensation formula and is very nourishing on the skin. This primer is brilliant for days when I am suffering with dry skin as it hydrating on the skin throughout the day and creates a smooth base for makeup. It also gives the skin a gorgeous dewy glow and instant freshness, I love this as my skin tends to look quite dull. Even though it makes the skin look dewy and refreshed, it doesn't make the skin look oily.
