Festival Beauty Essentials

With festival season right around the corner, it's time to get stocked up on all your essentials! I have been to a few festivals before and while I usually end up looking like a hot mess by the end of it, I do start with the best intentions! These products are my recommendations for festival season from basic products to getting on trend.

Must Have Beauty Products

Nobody wants to stink at a festival, do they? So keep yourself stocked up on deodorant! My favourites are both from Soft & Gentle and are the 0% Aluminium Dry Deodorant as well as the Anti-Perspirant Jasmine & Coco Milk as they both are okay for my sensitive skin and I have found them to work the best. If you are camping, chances are you are not going to be able to or be bothered to properly take off your makeup so its one of the few times when you can use face wipes! I have been really liking the Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes as they are 99% natural and take off makeup pretty well without irritating the skin. You will need something a little more heavy duty if you are wearing waterproof mascara to remove.

Nails

I love doing my nails and having an excuse to do a fun bright colour or using some false ones! The iZ Beauty Nail Polish in 841 Main Stage is from the upcoming Festival Fever Collection. I know I am going to be using this hot raspberry pink shade a tonne in the summer as well. I think it would look gorgeous on the nails or toes and I love the iZ Beauty Polishes as they have a great formula to be quicker drying and only never need two coats.

If you are going to a weekend festival, I always love to use stick on or false nails as you don't have to worry about them chipping and if one pops off you can quickly glue it back on! The KISS Gel Nails in the Freshen Up Style are my nails of choice for festivals. I love the colour of these nails, they are a brighter peach with glitter towards the tip - perfect for festivals and Summer time!

Glitter Trend

One of the biggest trends I have noticed so far for festival season is Glitter and I love it! Whether you want to sparkle up your makeup or your hair, I have some products for you! If you want to add some glitter and sparkle to your hair, I love the Pixie Lott Paint Glitter Sprays. They have three different colours available, I have the Metallic Silver Glitter and the Pastel Pink and I love that they actually show up on my almost black hair! These also act as a hair spray so if you wanted to use some chunkier glitter, you can use these sprays to hold it in all in place while adding even more glitter!

Whether you want to add some glitter to your face, hair, skin or nails the Star Dust Glitters from Beauty Boulevard are perfect, I think these would be fantastic to create the glitter root look so many people have been doing recently. I have the Cosmic Child option which his a gorgeous teal shade, in the box you also get a brush to apply it with as well as a Binding Gel. Another product from Beauty Boulevard is the Glitter Lips, these are available in so many different shades and I have the Vintage Pretty option. Inside the box you get the glitter as well as a brush applicator and a Gloss Bond. Each box has around 25 uses so one would be more than enough to get you through the festival season!

SPF

These are something everybody has to have as it is so important to keep your skin protected against sun damage, for the face and body. Any SPF from the high street will do the job for the body but when it comes to SPF for the face, it is a little more tricky for me as I have sensitive skin. If I am going to be going foundation free, I will be using the Vichy Ideal Soleil Velvety Face Cream SPF 50, I really love this brand and it is one of the few I can really trust for my skin.

The product I will be using for most of the summer and festival season is the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50. This has such incredible coverage while looking and feeling like you don't have anything on. And as it has a great SPF in it, I don't have to remember to apply any extra products to keep my skin protected!

To Keep in Your Bag

Besides some form of jacket because its the UK after all, it is either going to rain or end up being freezing, I always keep a few beauty products in my bag. I like to keep a lip balm as the sun will dry out my lips and I can't stand uncomfortable lips so the Burt's Bees Moisturising Lip Balm in Honey  is going to be my best friend! I love these lip balms, I have a few of them now and they do such a brilliant job at hydrating the lips. Hand gel is another must have as festivals are a pretty dirty place! I love the Merci Handy Hand Cleansing Gels and Black Vanilla is my absolute favourite scent! These don't dry out the hands but they leave them feeling clean and refreshed. With it being summer for festival season, I love to keep the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water in my bag as it has a slight cooling effect on the skin and is so refreshing - perfect for when you are spending the day in the sun!
