Being as pale as I am and refusing to get any sun damaged skin, fake tan is my best friend! I have tried so many different fake tans recently and this one I'd definitely worth the investment. It is one of the more expensive ones I have tried but it has the best formulation and has been the most long lasting, I haven't found a thing I don't like about this product!
I love products like this that you can choose the shade you want depending on how long you leave it on for before washing off. As I wanted my legs to be as dark as possible, I left it on over night but if you wanted a lighter sunkissed glow, you could leave it on for one/two hours before rinsing. The Skinny Tan Express Mousse 1 Hour Tan retails fo £27.99, that does sound like a lot especially as I only really ever used cheap fake tans but this is SO worth it.
This is the express version of Skinny Tans Self Tan Mousse and has the nicest tropical scent while you apply it.With so many fake tans I have used previously, while they don't smell like that fake tan smell as you apply it, whenever I would shower I would stink of biscuits so this makes me so happy that I never smell of a biscuit. As it is a mousse formulation, it is very easy to apply and it does have a guide colour making it a little easier to make sure you haven't missed any areas.
To apply this, I have been using the Dual Tanning Mitt from Skinny Tan and it is the best tanning mitt I have ever used! It is incredibly soft which makes the application smoother and as it is double sided. I have also noticed since switching to this one that I never end up with any streaks. With many tanning mitts I have used before, I would still end up with tan on my hands but this has some kind of super seal on it as my hands have never been stained! I have washed it a few times after use and it still looks and feels brand new.
Once applied, it doesn't feel sticky on the skin and dries fairly quickly so you can be about your day but isn't too drying that you do have some time to make sure its blended well over the skin and you haven't missed any areas. I love watching it develop and this is actually really helpful as you can then decide when you want to rinse it off! This doesn't ever make me look orange and doesn't have a grey tone, it is the perfect bronze shade no matter how long you decide to leave it on for. One thing I noticed that this that I really liked is that it made my skin texture look better as it helps disguise visible signs of cellulite which is an amazing bonus!
As I said at the beginning, it is fairly long lasting and it lasts for around five days on me before I noticed it to start to fade, this was without moisturising daily. Once it did start to fade, it did it very evenly. To prolong your tan, make sure to moisturise daily and make sure you exfoliate before you apply your tan. I didn't find it to be at all drying on the skin either, it actually has organic coconut in! This product and all of the other tans from the brand are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
