Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

This is one seriously hyped about product, and I finally decided I had to see what all the fuss was about! I have to say, I don't think I have ever been so impressed with a product as I have been with this concealer, it is really worth all of the hype it gets and I do hear Tarte will be bringing out a Shape Tape Foundation soon so I have my fingers crossed!

While Tarte do ship to the UK and have a better selection of products, I would still recommend buying from QVC as it works out cheaper if you include customs and shipping charges. I paid almost £30 for these two products and while I didn't really want the sponge, I was too impatient to order from the States and wait for it to arrive. QVC regularly offer easy pay instalments on their products so I decided to that and spread the cost as I ordered quite a bit of Tarte in one weekend!

QVC offer the Shape Tape Concealer as a duo with the Quickie Blending Sponge for £28, the concealer retails for £19 from the Tarte website. It is available in six shades from QVC and I decided to go for Fair as I wanted it for under the eyes to conceal and brighten and it does a fantastic job! I haven't tried out the sponge yet, I love my Beauty Blender far too much and I have heard mixed things about this one from Tarte so I am interested to see how it will work on me.

The Shape Tape concealer has absolutely incredible coverage, it is so easy to achieve full coverage and you only need the smallest amount. Now that I have been using it, I don't understand why so many YouTubers cake this stuff on as you really don't need much to achieve full coverage. I have always had dark colouring under the eyes no matter how much sleep I get and as I went for a shade lighter than I usually would, it not only conceals like no other concealer has ever done but it also brightens to make my skin look much less tired! You cannot see a thing when you use this concealer, I definitely want to get an exact skin colour match to use on my acne scarring and discolouration!

It has a very creamy consistency and I don't find it to crease at all on me when I use it under the eyes as long as I set it with some loose powder. I was really impressed that it didn't crease or look heavy on the skin as it is on the thicker side.It has a lovely finish, it has a hint of radiance to it while being mostly matte once it sets, perfect for under the eyes.

Once I have applied a small swipe under each eye, I will blend with a damp sponge as it makes it so easy to blend, it doesn't skip over the skin or settle into any lines but leaves the skin looking so smooth. I have used a brush a few times and while I still get good results and coverage, I do prefer how it looks and feels when applied with a sponge. It is so long lasting too and as it doesn't crease I can go 12 hours plus wearing this and it will still look great towards the end of the day! You can also use this to contour and highlight depending on the shades you have and I can see it being good for this too as it is very creamy and super blendable.

I really like the packaging too, it has a gorgeous purple design on the cap and the doe-foot style applicator that is on the larger side, all I need one one quick swipe under each eye and I can conceal and brighten in seconds! The wand has a slanted tip and the concealer actually sits in the middle of it and I have found this to work so much better to apply the product to the skin compared to other concealers as I would have to re-dip into the tube to get more product.

If you couldn't already tell, I am obsessed and highly recommend! I am definitely going to be ordered a slightly darker shade for the Summer as I don't think I could be without it now!
