I am going on holiday at the end of next month so I am trying to find a great selection of products to take away with me to ensure that not only is my skin protected against sun damage but will also help accelerate my tanning process. I had never tried any products from Institut Esthederm and these were the perfect introduction!
The Adaptasun Sensitive Protective Face Care for Moderate Sun is to be applied to the face and neckline at least 20 minutes before exposure to the skin and to be re-applied every two hours. This product is going to replace your regular face cream during the summer, activating the skin's natural melanin process for a deeper, intensified tan. This is for normal skin types that rarely burns and for sun exposure of medium UV intensity (levels 5-8). This is an innovative formula that activates the skin's natural pigmentation process to allow the skin to tan with ease and allow the skin to adapt quicker to the sun for a deeper, stimulated and long-lasting tan. The face cream itself will help prevent photo-ageing, dark spots and optimises natural tanning.
This is is a very lightweight product on the skin and doesn't interfere with how my makeup applies to wears throughout the day if applied before makeup application. I also like to wear this on no makeup days and I love that it doesn't give me a white cast. I love how much easier my skin tans when I use this, especially as I am incredibly pale naturally and I haven't had any issues with burning - hooray! Just like the previous product, this is to be applied to the body and hair 20 minutes for exposure to the skin and is to be reapplied every two hours and immediate after swimming.
This oil is extremely nourishing on the skin but doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy. It is silicon-free and prevents photo-aging and dark spots, wrinkles and has sunburn protection all built in. This provides triple cellular protection to fight against harmful effects of UVA/UVB light, oxidation, UV-induced inflammation and DNA damage. While I do really like this for the body, I love it for my hair as it does tend to be a little drier in the summer and this injects so much hydration while keeping it protected.
