Rimmel London #Insta Collection

Rimmel has been really impressing me with their newer launches I have to admit! With each new launch, I am finding products that are incredible value for money and ones I couldn't be without now that I have tried them. This collection is one of the best launches to the high street all year in my opinion. This #Insta Ready collection has clearly been inspired by Instagram and being selfie-ready.

The #Insta Fix & Matte Powder is by far one of the best-pressed powders I have ever used! I love the packaging, it comes in a sleek compact with a clear lid and the powder itself has hashtags printed into it. This is a translucent matte powder that makes my makeup last so much longer, I don't have to touch up at all until the early evening. What I really love about this powder is that it doesn't make my base look at all cakey or heavy no matter how much I apply and it also has a slight smoothing effect on my skin. Even though it has a matte finish, it's more of a natural matte as it doesn't make the face look flat or dry. I have also noticed that it actually helps minimise my pores, I have large pores so this is a fantastic bonus. This powder retails for just £4.99 and is a must-have from this collection.

The #Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray has actually been on my wishlist for a couple of months so I was excited to finally be able to try it. This is a 2-in-1 primer and setting spray that will lock makeup into place for up to eight hours and helps prolong the wear makeup to prevent makeup from smudging or settling into fine lines. This doesn't make my makeup last as long as some my other setting sprays but it is lovely as a makeup refresher and to use when you have applied to much powder to reserve the cake face. It doesn't soak the face and I do like to use it as a primer too to balance out the skin before applying any makeup. This retails for £6.99 - HERE.

It seems like every brand now has a colour correcting palette but I am always looking for budget friendly options. The #Insta Conceal & Correct Palette includes three shades, peach to neutralise dark circles, green to cover redness and lilac to cancel out dullness. Each of the three shades is incredibly creamy and not at all greasy or oily like some colour correctors I have used are. They blend out well and do a great job for colour correcting each of the areas while being pretty pigmented. I like to apply them before my foundation and concealer to make sure that the colours don't peek through. This palette retails for £6.49 - HERE.

I am still new to the world of contouring and I had been wanting to try out a cream contour kit but many of the ones on the market are pretty expensive. The #Insta Conceal & Contour Palette is available in three shades each with three different colours to highlight, conceal and contour. I really like that they have created three different shade options as many of the contour palettes I had been looking at were far too dark for me and the Light option is perfect for my skin tone. Just like the colour correcting palette, all of the shades are so creamy and easy to blend with great pigmentation. I still need to play around with this a bit more until I get the hang on contouring and not messing it up! This also retails for £6.49 - HERE.

The #Insta Contour Stick is available in three shades and each product includes two a stick highlighter and stick contour shade. This makes it so easy to contour and highlight areas such as the Cupid's Bow and nose as well as the cheekbones. These aren't as creamy as the palettes but are still easy to work with. I like to apply these directly to the skin and then blend with a damp beauty blender to make sure I don't end up with patchy or contour lines. I think these are a little easier to use than the palettes as you can build up the colour slowly. These retail for £6.99 each - HERE.
