Autumn Makeup Bag Update

I love makeup every month of the year but as soon as Autumn/Winter rolls around, I get so much more excited! Not only does it mean the start of Christmas gifting, I think you know by now how obsessed I am with Christmas, but it also means I can bring out all of my vampy lip products and nail polishes as well as warmer toned palettes and blushes. If I could get away with deep berry lips and plum blushes all year round I would!

Autumn Makeup Bag Update
A few days ago, I decided to have sort out of my makeup bag and switch out all of my products for the season. I know Autumn doesn't technically start for another week or so but it's got chilly outside so I thought now is the time! The first things I wanted to switch up were my base products, while Tarte Shape Tape will always be in my makeup bag, I do want to try out some new things! I recently picked up a couple of NYX products and one of them being the HD Concealer. Everybody seems to rave about this stuff so I can't wait to see how it works for me, I have tested in a few times and I am impressed with the coverage so far! Another NYX product I have popped into my makeup bag is the Total Control Drop Foundation, I recently reviewed this (you can read about this here) and I do really like it! It has great coverage and is super long-lasting on the skin without looking or feeling heavy.

It's a must that I switch out my blushes, I love a plum toned blush and NARS Sin is one of my favourites. I also have another blush that I love which is from KIKO in the shade Impulsive Mauve, this was limited edition last year so I'm not too sure if you can still get this. One cheek palette I have been really loving again for the last couple of weeks is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette, I swear I am one of the only people that actually likes this! This is definitely a palette better suited towards fairer skin tones and I love all three shades and use them a tonne! I use the highlight and blush shade most days and I find that they do a great job at warming up the skin and these shades work brilliantly with the kind of eyeshadow looks I like to go for.

Speaking of eyeshadow...I can't get enough of the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette and I have been using this ever since it launched and I am still obsessed with it! While this was launched as a Summer palette with the 'Heat' theme, I think it perfectly suited for Autumn. I love all of the super warm shades and I am always using this palette even if it's just for one or two shades and then I will use different products. I did a full review on this with swatches of every shade if you want to check that out, here. Another eye product I am trying to use more of this season is eyelashes.  Iconic London has some beautiful ones on offer and the pair I have are great quality. They come in a gorgeous box and the lashes themselves are very lightweight on the lash line and I like that the lash band isn't too thick.

I am all about brow pomades as I don't have the greatest brows and I need all the help I can get! The Collection Brow Pomade is just £3.99 and a great affordable option. I have the darkest shade available and while it is actually a little too light for my brows, I do really like it! It has a great formula as it is very creamy to apply but it doesn't budge throughout the day and stays in place well. I like to use this to create an arch and extend the brow as well as filling them in. If you are on a budget, this is a great pomade to have in your makeup bag.

The final product I have updated in my makeup bag is my lip product, I keep a few different options in my handbag for on the go but in my makeup bag I only like to keep one or two as I am always in a hurry and I don't have to spend too much time trying to decide which shade to use. When I ordered the new NYX foundation and concealer, I also picked up the Lipgloss in Devils Food Cake which is the darkest shade available and is a very deep plum/purple shade. This is absolutely stunning on the lips and has a very smooth feel once applied. It has a decent amount of wear and a lovely scent. You can't beat them for £5.50!
