My Experience at World Duty Free (+ What to Buy)

I love World Duty Free and I actually got to go through one of the stores lately and I was a huge fan and I can't wait to travel again soon so I can go back! If you are travelling through a number of the UK airports soon, you have to pay a visit to them as it was one of my favourite recent shopping experiences.

My Experience

Shopping generally makes me feel anxious but World Duty Free was actually a really calm experience for me even though it was extremely busy in Gatwick Airport. The staff are really friendly but aren't trying to push you into sales, they were really helpful! The store is extremely well laid out and I spent a lot of my delayed wait time browsing the makeup. One thing I really love is that you can shop online and collect your items in the store, if you have your eye on something, you could reserve it and pick it up with the duty-free discount so you will save a few pounds! I could honestly spend so much money in World Duty Free, especially with the big selection of exclusive kits and products they have! Luxury beauty is expensive so if you are going on holiday soon, I would definitely try and pick it up in World Duty Free.

What to Pick Up

Perfume isn't a product I ever really treat myself too as it is expensive but I do love gifting it and this would make a great gift for someone or to just treat yourself too. If you are in the market for a new perfume, when in World Duty Free you must treat yourself! I have never tried any of the Burberry fragrances before but the My Burberry Minature Set has quickly become one of my top picks. This set retails for £42 and includes two miniatures of the Eau de Parfam and two of the Eau de Toilette. This perfume is from the floral scent family and the notes are:

- Top: Sweat Pea and Bergamont
- Heart: Quince, Geranium, Freesia
- Base: Damascone Rose, May Rose and Patchouli.

I have never really been a fan of floral scents but I have fallen in love with this one as it isn't overpowering and the notes work so well together. I really like that this set includes miniatures as I never get through a full bottle of perfume. These are the perfect size for keeping at your dressing table, in your handbag or in your desk at work so you are never without your My Burberry.

BareMinerals is another brand I haven't tried too much from but The Powder of Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette hasn't left my makeup bag since I got it. This is a neutral coloured palette which is actually quite different for me as I always go for super warm toned shadows but I really like how these shades look on the eyes! I have been so impressed with the pigmentation of these shadows, you can see in the swatches just how good they are. They apply beautifully to the eyes and I have found them to be long-lasting even without eyeshadow primer!

This palette fits in the palm of your hand making it perfect for your travel makeup bag, it also comes with a pretty decent brush as well as a mirror so you can also apply the shadows on the go. World Duty Free also have The Suede Neutrals Palette which looks gorgeous too.
