Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review

When I was sorting out my makeup a little while ago, I realised I didn't have that many bronzers to try out so I knew I wanted to pick up a new one while I was in Sephora. I was definitely feeling spendy on that trip, you can see my full haul here. I had heard such good things about this and Too Faced is my favourite brand so I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is the medium/deep version and even though I do have a fairly light skin tone, this works brilliantly for me at the moment. Too Faced do have a Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate versions, I think maybe in the Winter months I might be better suited towards the Milk Chocolate once my tan fades. This product is 100% cruelty-free and Vegan-friendly, this is one of my favourite things about Too Faced as I am making a huge effort to only buy cruelty-free products where I can. The packaging is gorgeous as I always expect with Too Faced products. It comes in a high-quality round compact complete with a mirror inside.

This bronzer smells good enough to eat! I am all about the scented beauty products at the moment and I will admit, if a product is chocolate or vanilla scented, there is a 95% chance I will buy it! It smells just like the Chocolate Bar Palettes from Too Faced and I just can't get enough of it! While it doesn't change the way the product wears or applies, it does make a nice change for the application process.

This is a matte bronzer and I have been using it to warm the skin and lightly contour the face. It's the perfect shade for me as it isn't grey or orange toned but it will add a warmth and glow to the skin. It is actually infused with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder and signature bronzing pigments that create a unique matte bronzer that will neutralize red and even skin tone. Even though it does have a matte finish, it looks very natural on the skin and never dry looking or chalky.

I love applying this to the skin with a large fluffy brush and it isn't overly pigmented that you have to worry about applying too much but it's easy to build up on the skin. I like to slowly build up the pigmentation and apply it in a '3' motion to the skin making sure you apply it to the areas of the face that the sun would naturally hit. It's so long lasting on the skin and it really does last all day until I remove my makeup. Even if I am having a makeup free day, I still like to apply this to the skin to make myself look a little more healthy and not so pale. It's a must have in my makeup bag.
