Pink Gellac Gel Polish Starter Kit

I love painting my nails but one of the reasons I don't bother to do them too often is that they always chip so quickly! I am quite very handed and when I'm sorting out my bunnies I always mess them up so gel nails sounded like the next best thing! I have tried a few different gel kits before but never this one so I was excited to put it to the test.

Pink Gellac is a new brand to me, I hadn't heard too much about them before which I actually like because then I can make my opinion completely myself without being too influenced. I received the Gel Nail Polish Starter Kit which comes with everything you need to get started with gel nails. I also picked an extra colour in the shade 229 Berry Red and this colour is perfect for this time of year. It's a gorgeous deep red with a slight pink undertone. Inside the starter kit box you get:

- 15ml Primer
- Dynamic Pink Polish 182
- Four Free Online Courses
- Pink Gellac LED Lamp
- Pink Gellac Base2
- Pink Gellac Ultra Shine 15ml
- 10 Cleaner Pockets
- Nail File
- Orange Woodsticks
- 10 Remover Pockets

To use this system you start off by pushing back your cuticles and buffing the nails until they aren't shiny anymore, this is going to help prolong the wear of your gel polish. Then you clean the nails with a lint-free wipe and a cleanser. You then apply the Base2, this is going to protect your nails from the colour pigments and act as a foundation for the gel polish colours, you then cure the base for 15 seconds with the LED lamp included. You can then go ahead and apply your gel polish colour, it is incredibly important to do thin and even coats with gel polish and then apply a second coat if needed. Make sure you seal the end of the nails to make sure they don't chip too quickly and cure for 60 seconds with the LED light, the lamp actually as a timer so you don't need to worry! The last step is to apply the Ultra Shine making sure to get all of the nail and cure for 60 seconds. And then your nails should be dry and you are ready to go!

I have to say I have been really liking my nails since I have been using this system and I think it is one of the better ones I have tried. As long as you do thin coats you really can't go wrong! They are very long-lasting once applied and lasted over ten days before I noticed a few tiny chips which I thought was so impressive considering how heavy handed I am. The pink shade included in the box did need more coats than the Berry Red shade, I don't mind doing that extra step when I know that my nails are going to last! This is definitely worth investing in as it will work out to be better value for money in the long run!
