New Makeup Additions

January for me is the month to buy new makeup for the year. I don’t buy that is this amount usually in one go but I received some lovely gift cards for Christmas so I have been ordering the products I had been lusting after. I’m still waiting on a couple of Too Faced products to launch and then I think I’ll be set on new makeup for a while...at least until something new is released!

For Christmas my parents got me a John Lewis gift card which I was super excited about because they stock a lot of luxury brands that I had been wanting to try for a while. Marc Jacobs Beauty was the one brand I knew I wanted to try and I decided on the Twinkle Pop in Honey Bunny as my first introduction to the brand. I had no eyeshadow sticks in my collection previously but this one has seriously impressed me and I’m planning on picking up another shade before I do a full review. It’s so creamy, easy to apply and blend, making it so quick and easy to use in the mornings. It’s one of the most pigmented products I’ve tried for the eyes and is intensely glowly, I’m hooked. The next product I ordered was the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Unleash Me. I haven’t tried much from CT in a while and I wanted a gloss to match my Glossier Gen G in Jam and this is the perfect match! It’s much smaller than I thought it was going to be though. The final thing I picked up from John Lewis was the Liz Earle Foundation, I’m quite disappointed that there is only three shades of this honestly. I’ve tried it a few times and it’ a lovely natural foundation for everyday wear, I managed to get this for 40% off so it was a bargain!

On Boxing Day Tarte had an amazing sale on, they had free international delivery with no minimum spend with 25% off almost everything on the site so I knew I had to make an order. I made sure to keep my orders under £15 too so I didn’t have to pay any customs fees so it really was a bargain! The first thing I picked up was the Goddess Glam Eye & Cheek Set for about £8 which was an incredible deal! This comes with six eyeshadows as well as a blush and highlight shade inside the palette with a mini of the Lights, Camera Lashes Mascara. I also picked up the Maneater Must Haves Eye Set for about £5 which comes with mini sizes of the Maneater Mascara and the Eyeliner. If you read by 2017 Beauty Favourites, you’ll know how obsessed I was with this mascara so I knew I had to get another!

One brand I want to try a lot from this year is Kat Von D and with one of my gift cards I got the Lock It Setting Spray (£20). I have had this for a few weeks now and I am obsessed with it, I think it might be the best setting spray I have tried! I have done a full review on this already if you do want to find it more, you can check it out, here. Just before New Year I went down the Intu Lakeside to do a bit of shopping, mainly for the Victoria’s Secret Semi Annual Sale and I didn’t spend as much as I thought I would so on the way home I ordered the Metal Crush Highlighting Palette (£32). I have been wearing this and it’s insane looking on the skin, I’ll have a full review up soon all about it!

The final thing I have picked up recently is the Urban Decay Naked Concealer. I've had this before and I did really like it so when I spotted it for £9.50 with free delivery on their website, I had to have it. I’m coming to an end of my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer so I needed something for once that is finished before I repurchase.

What have you picked lately?
