Homeware Update for Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day just a few days away, I wanted to give my home a little bit of an update. I like to get festive whenever I can and even though I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day itself, I do love home accessories and anything pink! This month is the perfect month to add some pink touches to my home and I always love Amara.

The first item that caught my eye was The New Covert Garden Alarm Clock in Dreamy Pink (£25). This is such a gorgeous vintage style alarm clock and I have wanted something like this for a while now. This is such a classic, timeless piece that fits perfectly with the theme of my bedroom. I don't think you can go wrong with old fashion style alarm clocks. This one in particular, is available in a bunch of different colours but this shade of pink is stunning. It has a smooth matte finish and I love the retro-feel. It has an actual bell to wake you up in the mornings and it does a perfect job! This company also makes these clocks in a chrome finish if is blush pink isn't for you.

I love blankets, I swear I could fill a whole cupboard with them but I just can't stop! The Zoepprtitz Throws & Blankets are such incredible quality and I have to say, they are definitely worth the investment. I went for one of the Microstar Blankets in a gorgeous baby pink, similar to the clock and I love it! It is smaller than I thought it would be but it actually worked out well for want I wanted. This is one of the softest blankets I have ever come across and it also washes well which I was happy about! It has kept its softness and who doesn't like getting cosy with a blanket while a candle is burning?!

The final item I went for was one of the HAY Kaleido Hexygon Trays, I decided on a medium white one. These are really cool and are unlike anything I have come across before (it also makes an excellent blog prop!). These can be used alone or mixed and matched with other trays from the line to create your own personal style. This is a chic, clean white tray that I have been using on my coffee table and displaying one of my new candles with a little bowl of Valentine's Day sweets as well as my TV remove as I am always losing it! You could even use these to serve items on if you want too but I have been loving how this looks.

Amara has put together a post of 18 ideas for Valentine's Day Decor for the perfect night in if you need any ideas, you can check that out here.
