Barry M Under The Sea Nail Polish Collection Review

Barry M nail polishes are some of the best ones on the high street so I always get excited about any new releases. Being cruelty-free with my personal purchases now makes buying nail polish quite difficult but Barry M is a cruelty-free brand that I know and trust! I have fallen in love with this new collection and I'm loving all the mermaid vibes when it comes to beauty at the moment.

Barry M Under The Sea Nail Polish Collection Review
The Barry M Under The Sea Collection consists of four gorgeous two-toned, colour shifting nail polishes. Each of the four polishes has its own unique combination of colour and shimmer to keep your nail game strong this Spring and Summer. Because these polishes are so reflective, it's difficult to tell what the actual colour is and I adore it! I always prefer nail polishes with a fun effect or finish as creme polishes can be a little boring and Barry M have nailed it with this collection. The four shades in this collection are:

- Angelfish: a pearlescent champagne/nude with silver and slight peachy hints.
- Jellyfish: A radiant lilac with baby blue shimmer
- Butterflyfish: a stunning sky blue with pink shimmer
- Pinktail: A salmon pink with gorgeous gold shimmer

Each of these polishes can be worn alone or used as a nail polish topper. If you are going to apply these alone with no base colour, you are going to need a couple of extra coats than you would with any other polish to build up the intensity, in the swatches thats four thin coats for reference but on the nails, I only needed three. I got the idea from my cousin who layered these over a black polish and it completely transformed the polishes (you can check out her review here). It's so cool how many different ways you can use these polishes!

Like all Barry M polishes that I have tried, these have a great formula. They apply smoothly to the nails and without streaks. They dry quickly, this is so important for me because I always end up messing my nails up because I can't sit still! I do really love the shades they included but with it being dubbed a mermaid collection I would have loved to have seen a teal included personally. I have been alternating between the shades for the last couple of weeks and I think my favourite shades are Angel Fish and Pinktail, I don't usually like pink nail polishes on me so this really surprised me! The way all four of these polishes reflect in the light is incredible, I can never stop staring at my nails whenever I wear these shades. I haven't tried nail polishes with this great of a colour-shift in a while, they are very unique!
